Hello! I'm N. of N.A. Soleil. My partner A. and I write from a science fantasy universe we've been developing for almost 20 years. (and I draw our characters) We published our debut novel, Everdark, last year, a story about a psionic teenager with PTSD finding out that her world is much, much bigger than she thinks it is.
Our second book, The Fractured Balance, was accepted into BackerKit's Booktopia!
A dark, gory, and philosophical tale inspired by stories like Asimov's Foundation series, the Dark Elf trilogy, Final Fantasy 7, and The Crow, The Fractured Balance follows emotionless genetic experiment Pheonix (misspelled intentionally) as he finds freedom from the slavers' arena -- only to come to the abrupt realization that the universe outside isn't so different from the pens he grew up in. An ideology known as 'the balance' reigns supreme among those in power, preaching that evil is a legitimate identity and evil acts must be tolerated. In moderation, of course.
But Pheonix is the Ascended of Justice, and Justice has no interest in standing side-by-side with evil.
