What if Edna Mode had established her ‘No Capes’ policy after the first cape related casualty? Not even death, but injury. And I’m not talking about just refusing to put capes on new designs, I’m meaning what if she had called in all the Supers with capes and changed their costumes? How many more Supers would be alive at the time of Incredibles? Even with Syndrome hunting them down, some of them could still be alive. Would some of them have been in the same city? Would Stratogale have gotten to grow up? Would Thunderhead’s kids not have had to go through loosing their adoptive father?
