Hi, sorry to bother, but I was wondering about something. If rciel is going to put an end to funtom, doesn’t that mean that a lot of people are going to end up without a job? It’s weird that he can just do that, it reminds of when he compared people to sheep, like some kind of sociopath
Hi! No problem, it’s no bother.
Yes, putting an end to Funtom certainly means a lot of people will end up fired. He can do it… not sure why he does it, and I hope it will be explained in the chapter (because if not, sensei is just doing it to give us reasons to dislike real Ciel). But he doesn’t appear to care much about people either… if at all. You’ll see in the full chapter more differences, parallels even between him and his brother. He seems to think more about himself, the family and the business, whereas his brother puts himself last and thinks of other people first (a lot of times.. at least). He also consider himself superior, as nobility.
The scenes where he picks up the bitter rabbit, holds it tight and then throws it away (the rabbit with the eyepatch, btw) are pretty chilling too. They are supposed to say something about his character.
But I personally would like to avoid mentioning disorders as much as possible. And I think quite a lot of people… especially ‘business owners’, don’t care that much about others losing their jobs in real life either. They think of their business and themselves first, and less about… others.
So yes… unless Funtom is doing really bad because of what happened with our Ciel, real Ciel wouldn’t actually have realistic reasons to dispose of the company, and this whole thing is happening… just for the sake of real Ciel appearing ‘bad’ - and… let’s say, to cut some of our Ciel’s connections. This is my personal opinion. Thank you very much for your message and I hope you’ll have a wonderful day/evening/night, anon! :)
