Stories 3 announcement got me drawing again

Well, starting off this year strong with a new sketchbook!

I had a lot of fun drawing my girl Leonie for the first time properly and this just makes me excited to draw her more with the rest of her monsties!

I’m also hoping to post the last few pages in my previous sketchbook over this week so keep an eye out for that😉

Can those who've played the previous Stories games weigh in?

I'm not familiar with how 1 and 2 were around their release. (I played 1 a looooong time ago, but didn't beat it; haven't played 2.) How complete would you say they were? I at least know they had updates for bug fixes and such, but were there any big updates? Or stuff that felt missing?

Basically, I'm pretty anxious about the state of Stories 3. We know we're in for one big-ish update with the Royal Monsters, but as far I know they haven't mentioned anything else beyond that, which is a little concerning for a lot of us it seems.

On the one hand, I want to believe that Capcom released the current game knowing that they were going to add more content and story in future updates. There's some pretty big questions left up in the air, there's potential in having Vermeil as a new area, there's a lack of content explicitly meant for the post-game, and uhhh *stares at suspiciously Simon-shaped hole* yeah, stuff just feels missing. I'm not a fan of it, but this is just how games are released nowadays; put out a decent enough base-game, then add everything else in updates. They've been doing this since World, and it's not going to stop anytime soon because of the current gaming landscape.

On the other hand, I'm just straight up not sure because there's no precedence. There's a precedence for the main games to add large updates, especially with more story, post-launch, but I don't know if they've done that with the Stories games--definitely not something as big as an expansion!

Capcom clearly put a lot of backing and faith into Stories 3. They put out so many trailers, gave every one of the Ranger's their own character spotlight, the amazing direction of the cutscenes, and the collab in Wilds with a very anachronistic Rudy showing up and giving a pitch for the game. They wanted Stories 3 to succeed, and from a numbers standpoint it very much has! I really just hope they keep the momentum going. I want to love this game more. I just need more of it. (And Gammoth. Please. Bring big momma home.)

Fatalis, Doom of Schrade

My pumpkin for this year, Fatalis. I had a fun time making it. He's a big boy so I had to take a lot of pictures to capture all of it. Might take cleaner pictures later. Let me know what you think!

Needing a monster stories 3 that continues with the characters from the first stories game.

You, the rider from the first game, running into all your old friends Avinia, Cheval, Roverto, Lilia, and Navirou. Reminiscing on old memories and going on new adventures.

I just really enjoyed seeing all the characters from stories 1 all grown up in stories 2 and I want more of them. I think that would be a neat idea if they ever make a stories 3.

I would also accept a continuation of the stories 2 story line.
