Maybe because I'd read and heard a few times that this would be Holofcener's weakest film, I had really low expectations about this one, but I really enjoyed it. This is my first step into an overall retrospective of the director, whose films I've seen but never paid enough attention, for some reason, with the exception of Enough Said, which I saw in a cinema. Mendelsohn excels at playing shitty and aimless men who, at the same time, win empathy, at least in me. I wish there was more Marvel, Britton, and Falco, but I get it, it's his show.
