... a M|M ship with major parental issues were high school sweethearts undercover (both having one of their fathers assaulting them after he found them together), went years going in and out of each other's lives (including one entering the military, religious fanaticism, and jail time in respective orders), then got engaged in the third-to-last episode of a season, and married in the finale, I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it happened twice.

Fuck The CW for not giving Malex a honeymoon season and making me actually grateful to John Wells for some thing other than actually showing the ins and outs of Gallavich’s relationship *side-glances heavily at Carina and Chris*.

Alex (their next scene): *Successfully flirts with Michael using the least-sexiest words by way of posturing how to save Michael’s ex and Michael’s brother from Michael’s dictator father* We’re finally getting together this episode.

Alex (their next scene): *Is profoundly emotionally vulnerable for Michael* We’re finally getting together this episode.

Alex (their next scene): *Wants to stop Michael from killing Michael’s father because he’s inside of Michael’s brother’s body* Maybe I need to add some physical sexual tension. We’re finally getting together this episode.

Alex (their next scene): *Like the bossiest emotional boss, exuding future-husband energy, he’s been for the entire episode* Stop hugging your ex, it’s my turn, because she is my best friend. We’re finally getting together this episode.

Alex (their next/final scene): Your mother was a genius and a fighter and you’re just like her. We’re finally getting together this episode.

Michael: I understand that you can’t tell me any thing about the secret government alien-studying agency because I’m an alien.

Alex: You’re not getting it. We’re finally getting together this episode. Total transparency it is then. I will tell you every thing.

Michael: Oh. That’s new.

Alex: ... Wait--What is happening?

Michael: *Goes to kiss Alex* Yeah, okay, we’re finally getting together this episode. It was MY plan all along!

Some times, just some times, “Is that enough?” and “I’m home” feels like double-fisted punches to the face that you’ve been asking for.
