So. Post-Eddie’s breakdown and “Buck is in the room” at the Diaz house, we get Eddie waking up on his couch to Bobby in the morning. Presumably he slept there the whole night. Also presumably, Chris slept in his own room that night. So. Did Buck take Eddie’s bed for the night, destroyed as Eddie’s room was during Eddie’s breakdown? Did Buck take Eddie’s room so that Eddie wouldn’t have to try to fall asleep while staring at the reminder of his breakdown and dead teammates? So that Eddie might actually sleep that night? Did Buck wait for the Diazes to fall asleep (even fitfully), and then clean up what he could of Eddie’s room in the dead of night? That scene in the finale where they’re plastering Eddie’s room’s walls is just this this side of fond to have me raising an eyebrow that Eddie talking about Buck wanting to fix things is even more than what we’re seeing on screen. Really, just. Did Buck sleep at all that night? Or did he do his best not to have his own breakdown while cleaning up Eddie’s room until it became a socially acceptable time to call his dad-captain in to look out for Eddie while Buck takes Christopher to school?
One thing about this show is that they will NOT spend time answering the important questions when it’s easier to simply gloss over the details. Like, give me Evan Buckley treating the Diaz house as his own on screen NOWWWW!!! He’s already said he’s not a guest there, and that was FIVE seasons ago. Need answers to these questions.
I'm seeing Eddie meeting a blonde haired fake Shannon and immediately facinated,
But I'm also seeing Eddie entrusting his kid, to this blonde haired dad, Buck...
(How domestic is that??)
Me:
the fact that the only time we saw buck's new couch was 6x12 in which he was shifting on it uncomfortably, after which we've seen eddie's couch twice— once with buck sleeping on it and once with chris. and in between these two times we got the baking scene. besties we're in the thick of it
Another drawing based off a fic trope! This time it's Bucks lockscreen where Eddie is watching Buck instead of whoever is taking the picture.(plus the original full drawing)
‘cause I see forever (in your eyes)
For my lovely @madamewriterofwrongs on the belated occasion of her birth <3 I love you like this one, my love. Also I know y’all have seen too much of me, but good for you ig :))
Pairing: Evan “Buck” Buckley/Eddie Diaz
Rating: M
Chapter: 1/1
Word Count: 26,007 words
Snippet:
Eddie’s not really sure he wants to hear Buck justify Christopher’s words right now — not when he can feel the rush in his veins from just the possibility of walking out of the chapel with Buck’s hand in his, Christopher leading them out.
“Would you?” he interrupts, holding his breath as Buck stops a short two steps away from him — two steps that have never felt so far before.
“Would I…what?”
He gestures to the newest couple to exit the chapel. “With me?”
Buck’s brow furrows and he looks at Eddie like he’s gone insane, but there’s an inkling of hope in his eyes that tells Eddie that maybe this wouldn’t be as insane as it seems. “Is this you proposing?”

Sometimes I forget that Eddie actually did put Buck in his will as Christopher’s legal guardian if Eddie dies because it’s like something straight out of a fic, but then I REMEMBER and am once again blown away by it. This man, this beautiful, WONDERFUL father, he made his best friend his son’s legal guardian in his will, like is that not like the most insane thing you’ve ever heard? The level of trust this entails? Buck would literally be Christopher’s last line of defense, the one teaching him about how to be an adult, the one fending off Eddie’s parents to make sure they don’t succeed in taking Chris back to El Paso, Buck would be the person Christopher turns to for what he needs. Eddie did That. He literally put in writing how much he believes in Buck’s love for Christopher, Bucky’s loyalty to his son, the way he’ll fight for Chris. I’m literally trembling in awe over Eddie’s decision. Not only did he ensure that Christopher would be taken care of, Eddie chose the best person in his life for the job. He really said that he never wants to leave his son, but if, god forbid, something happens, Buck will be there to love and support Christopher, just like Eddie has. This is so wild to me, this man is so crazy, I love this so much.
