but she didn’t really mean that.    hands around his shoulder,    mj lets the music fill the room.   it’s    -     an old song.    the kind her mom would probably recognise.    and maybe she should find some time to memorise the lyrics,   google it later,   just so she could have a name to tack this memory with.    but she couldn’t even do that,   no thanks to her stupid heartbeat.

which,   you know,   she suspects is trying to break some sort of world record with how fast it’s going.

peter’s shoulders are   -    nice.    firm.   and maybe,   yeah,   there’s a solidity to his body that she could fawn over because this guy must be jacked,   but also   …    it’s just so nice.    it’s lame,   she told him,   but does he know that she’s been wanting this even before homecoming ?   even before he’d got upgraded to an avenger or whatever and he’s just   -   in that goofy glasses with that goofy smile,   ugh.

he’s totally ruining her street cred,  but,  like,   she ain’t even mad.

Gwen sat in the library, eyebrows pulling together as she focused on the book in front of her. Normally it was so easy for her to study, but today just seemed to not be her day. Was it a lack of sleep? Or maybe just the anxiousness of coming to a new school? It was probably a combination of the two, but more the latter than anything. She finally took a deep breath, closing her book gently. She noticed a girl coming to sit at the table as well and she gave her a polite smile. Trying to make friends was always hard.
