Attention endometriosis suffers:

If you are taking the mini pill (specifically norethindrone)as a treatment be sure to check and make sure you are receiving the correct dose.

Upon some online research,which I’ll add links for, the dose I’ve been receiving is way far off anything that would be helpful. For general contraception uses .35 mg is fine but for the treatment of endometriosis the dose starts at 5mg.

I just want all my followers to know, I finally got my t.o.m.

micronor is not great if you like your body functioning ‘naturally’; I was only on it for a month and then came off it and it has taken about 4 weeks for my period to return. Word of warning to anyone coming off a p.o.p., you might have pregnancy symptoms until you start bleeding again.

yo so I went on Micronor like 5ish months ago and it like immediately stopped my periods (I was on it for painful cramps, I don’t really care about the actual birth control part) and so I basically hailed it as the greatest thing ever. Then I started having constant acid reflux; became unable to properly digest most grains, especially wheat/gluten; started becoming faint/nearly passing out every time I ate carbs/sugar; experienced worsening fatigue, depression, anxiety, and insomnia; and have lost ten more pounds and am currently 98 pounds (while 5′5″ & nearly 18 years old).

yeah some people can take it and be fine, but I would not recommend this at all, especially if you're already prone to digestive conditions or have a mental illness like depression, it will just make you feel like absolute shit.

Could you compare the amount of progestin in the implant (implanon) vs the amount in progestin-only birth control pills? I'm considering getting the implant but only if it proves to have lower doses of progestin than pills.

Each Micronor tablet (progesterone-only birth control pills) contains 0.35mg of norethindrone, a type of progesterone.

The Nexplanon contains a total of 68mg of etonogestrel, a different type of progesterone.  It releases approximately 60-70 micrograms a day.

To compare daily dose:

Micronor: 350 micrograms a day

Nexplanon: 60-70 micrograms a day

Buuuuuttttt, I wouldn't necessarily compare the two, since the two type of progesterone work very differently on different bodies.  Yes, the Nexplanon has a much lower dose, but it acts very strongly on the body, and people either love it or hate it.  It doesn't necessarily have the same effects as Micronor, but maybe that's what you're looking for!

This pill may be making my periods lighter but they're also making me moodier, lazier, more sensitive. I'm not okay with this.

I was on micronor for 2+ years. It failed and after my abortion I got the depo shot. The side effects were horrible, but mostly are gone now. I have one week left before I need a second shot. Will the side effects start off just as bad?

They shouldn’t.  From here on out, as long as you keep on top of getting your injections within the 2 week window you’re given, everything should stay the same.  If you miss the 2 week window, unfortunately, you’ll have to wait for your next period to come in order to get another shot, and that could be as long as 3-6 windows from now.    That will mess with your hormones and all your symptoms.  So if you’re committed to using Depo, make sure to ALWAYS get your shot on time.
