Hi! I'm sorry if you have had answer this or if it is in your pinned post, but I've been doing research and I'm 99% sure i am intersex and have vulvar hypospadias.
Is there a way to tell the difference between having a micro vagina, vaginismus(?) and some variation of endometriosis?
Here's some of my symptoms if that kinda helps?
Insertion sex hurts. I've only tried using a 5inch small dildo. The only thing that fit and did not hurt was a very very thin ( thinner than a tooth brush ) light vibrator. It was nice but kinda took a long time, not sure if its shit or i didn't pay attention.
Ever since i got an UTI i can't stop having them. I've taken breaks from masturbation because I don't have that big of an urge for sexual activities, i have tried sleeping in just my underwear or none. I have tried changing underwear and pads. I try to keep up with liquids/water. It does get worse when my period is close. AZO and cranberry juice seems to help if i don't want to go to urgent care.
I don't know if it counts as a symptom or just emotional relatability, but god. It sucks. I feel like i fail at sex or that i can't just Relax Enough. My partner is GREAT and does help. I just i guess have internalized ableism / intersexism about it. I just feel like I'm not allowed to enjoy it. I want to have normal sex but its so hard. I'm sick of vibrators and i don't like the idea of anal.
I also think i have endometriosis because my belly button bled randomly twice before my period last year and it smelt like period blood and looked like period blood. Nothing was found inside of my utereus, but to be fair i forgot to bring it up to my doctor.
I know its possible to have both, i just don't know how to take care of it.
I'm constantly aware of my vagina/utereus
Would dilators help with micro vaginas or would it do nothing?
Thank you, I'm sorry i know this is a lot and went into a lot more detail than i meant to. I'm just frustrated with my body. I think there is some more things I'm forgetting. My partner is going to help me measure the U-V distance when we can.
i don't personally know a lot abt endometriosis, but i can give you some advice on microvagina/vaginal hypoplasia vs vaginismus as its also smth i had to figure out!
so vaginismus is, as i understand it, involuntary spasming of the vagina when penetration is attempted. dyspareunia (painful sex) happens bc your body isn't able to fully relax. w hypoplasia, dyspareunia happens bc you are stretching your vagina beyond what it is capable of taking comfortably, & that is a lot less than other ppl because your vagina isn't able to take as much! if, when inserting smth, you (or your partner) find you can't seem to relax or are tensing up automatically, thats more suggestive of vaginismus.
the fact that you were able to get smth in there w/o pain, as long as it was small, does point more towards hypoplasia, but ultimately only you can really figure that out for certain! if you feel fully relaxed and turned on, and don't feel any tensing, but still experience pain and a sense of the penetrating object being too large, that would be more suggestive of hypoplasia. hypoplasia can be in width or length or both.
i relate a lot to feeling frustrated abt not being able to have "normal" sex. dilation can help people with microvaginas, and is also used to treat vaginismus, so if you are interested in being able to do more with your vagina i would definitely look into that. physical / pelvic floor therapy could also be good to look into.
hope this helps anon! also hope you get the bleeding bellybutton thing checked out!
