MRKH is a congenital variation which results in the underdevelopment or absence of the uterus and/or vagina. typically someone with MRKH's ovaries are fully developed and functional, but may be in an atypical place in the abdomen. MRKH can also be associated with kidney, bone, and hearing atypicalities.

the basis of bismuth was chosen for MRKH due to MRKH's variation in cause (which is often unclear or unknown) and presentation (many cases look very different).

yellow was chosen for community and connection. purple was chosen for contentedness, with blue being chosen for wholeness. green was chosen for MRKH's common association with plants (flowers in particular) and growth.

I have MRKH and having sex isnt easy. That makes dating scary as hell. But I've learned the media has made it so much worse by portraying every man in existence as sex obsessed.

Its scary to tell someone I can't be what they expect without the fear of them thinking i'm less than or broken.

But I've found more often than not, guys just want emotional connection too.

We need more honest portrayals. We need more Lucanis "sex was okay, but could we just talk" Dellamorte.

Men have feelings too.

Okay so! I have two intersex OCs (that I'm currently working on), but my tablet died before I managed to draw the second one, so I'll just use this picrew for her. [link]

First OC is Pouiriketa!

She's a young lady from the Mossi Republic (real world equivalent is Burkina Faso). Keta is a lonely person who yearns for love and so she's immediately receptive when a guy tries to romance her. Their relationship progresses extremely quickly; they're seriously dating before they even get to know each other properly. This proves to be an issue, since the guy is revealed to really want biological children to the point he breaks up with Keta after she tells him she's infertile.

That would make pretty much anyone sad, but Keta already had insecurities about her inability to have kids even before this (her parents had expected bio grandchildren and it was heartbreaking to them when they heard they wouldn't be getting any) so the dude leaving her makes her really hate herself and her body.

This doesn't last forever, Keta does get over her self-esteem issues, primarily because SHE herself never wanted to give birth, it's always been what people close to her wanted. Keta realises that she's always obsessed over other people's expectations of her and that's made her life miserable. She decides to try living by setting and trying to set and achieve her own expectations and goals, which makes her much happier.

Pouiriketa has Müllerian agenesis, which is the reason for her infertility. She's known she's intersex since her late teens (she's in her mid twenties).

This one's called Lola! The parts of her story related to her variation are easier to explain, but slight TW for abusive relationships.

Lola had been dating one woman since she was like 14. That woman was a massive bitch, constantly insulted Lola's appearance and pressured her into presenting very masculine. Eventually she got sick of her treatment and broke up with her girlboss, cop gf. Instead Lola got a job as a maid in the palace, serving her country's queen, who is also a massive sleezebag. But unlike the first one she wants Lola to present as feminine as possible!

Throughout the story Lola meets Pouiriketa and starts sneaking out of the palace to spend time with her. During this time she also starts experimenting with her gender expression to find what actually suits her.

Lola has the newly renamed PMOS! BUT she doesn't know it. At the start of the story she doesn't even know about being intersex.

Some intersex variations like MRKH/Müllerian agenesis, vaginal atresia, Turner Syndrome/Monosomy X, and Kallman Syndrome/Anosmic hypogonadism are associated with higher rates of deafness & being hard of hearing (HOH).

Intersex variations that come with having extra sex chromosomes (e.g. Trisomy XYY, Trisomy X, Tetrasomy XXYY) are generally associated with higher rates of neurodivergence. Auditory processing disorder (APD) often co-occurs with autism, ADHD, and other developmental disabilities.
