Do you think each Vessel/Reincarnation of Grimm has the same Personality? They seem to keep their respective Memories. I kinda imagine that Grimmchild before the Ritual is completed doesn't really have a sense of self until completion.
That makes me wonder tho, if Grimm has a Soul that just gets transfered together with Nightmare and the Nightmare Heart to each Vessel or if each Vessel has it's own Soul (where the question comes up again if each Vessel has a different Personality)
I hope that makes sense lol
The game is pretty vague when it comes to this question on if the Grimms are all the same or if they're different - I mean, there's not even concrete evidence on if Nightmare King Grimm and the Troupe Master are one in the same or not. We have only ever seen one Grimm and so it's impossible to say that they keep their respective memories. What we have viewed is:
— Nightmare King Grimm with no dialogue beyond the dream nail, slightly different behavior, and a slightly different visage
— Troupe Master Grimm who's old as dirt, has dialogue, knows about the Vessel plan
— Grimmchild who has no dialogue and very limited power until the Ritual is complete
The readings I like most for the Troupe Master is that they're all one in the same or that Nightmare King Grimm/The Nightmare Heart is a separate entity from the Troupe Master. I've written about this before here.
I think probably the canon answer (assuming NKG to be separate from TMG) is that each Vessel is different. A different personality and maybe no memories from the old Master — the only thing transferred from father to child is the Heart's power. I think this is the probable case due to the Grimm Troupe being characters that carry the theme of "letting go". All kingdoms will die eventually, in one way or another, and they will come to eat. Unlike the Pale King or Radiance, the Troupe operates on the understanding of sacrifice and change. There could be no better showing of that than if the Troupe Master submits to endless death regardless of incarnation. If the Heart willingly puts itself through the pain of its Vessel death and its own shattering, the only real eternal being in the equation.
While I think that's probably the canonical answer to the situation, I like the interpretation of it being the same Grimm more. That doesn't mean his first interation is the exact same as his most current - he's probably very different from that first life and likely changes a little each incarnation by virtue of dying and growing up. In this scenario, the power is transferred over with the memories/essence that makes him him.
The Grimmchild doesn't have a real personality until it's Grimm growing up in the same way that babies lack a personality until they grow up. By the time that the Grimmchild becomes Grimm and starts molting into adulthood, he's already pretty settled as an individual since everything's been transferred over.
I'm wondering, Narinder doesn't seems to be much of a Fighter as a Follower in your AU. Since he seemed pretty startled when being attacked from behind. Or was he just caughed off-guard?
Narinder has never seemed to retain any of his powers once he becomes a follower in game, save for the lack of aging, and I've chosen to reflect that.
I also think it's better thematically, since it makes Narinder's dethroning far more humiliating, and it allows the Goat to force him in this corner.
Are you going to do an Ursamajor-Variant that gonna evolve into Blood Moon Ursaluna?
@midnight197, @mushroomfusion245
I'm not sure! I lean towards no because Bloodmoon Ursaluna is a special one-off, as opposed to a form that exists naturally and is repeatable (for now, at least):
While an ordinary Ursaluna bears a yellow moon mark on its forehead, the one on this Ursaluna is red. This distinctive mark has earned it the name “Bloodmoon Beast,” and it is the only such Ursaluna known to exist. The Pokémon is unique in that its altered appearance cannot be attributed to Evolution or form change. [Source]
That said, I may end up doing it eventually. If I do, I would have it transition from regular Ursaluna, due to this text:
It is said that a certain Ursaluna crossed the seas and arrived in the land of Kitakami—and that it then underwent a unique transformation over many years as a result of surviving in its harsh new environment. [Source]
I used to have Roborowski Hamsters as a kid. As well as Bunnys and Guinea Pigs. Now looking back, we definitly had them in very wrong environments to that time. I don't think, I would like to care for a Rodent anymore nowdays^^" If I ever get a pet on my own, it'll be a cat xD
Same. We had mice, hamsters, guinea pigs when I was a kid... and while we tried to do our best I know for a fact that we didn't keep them properly, but also that we didn't know any better. There just wasn't much info or research available. Fortunately times are changing and even small pets are better looked after, even though pet stores still sell a LOT of things that aren't suitable for hamsters. I have to buy Nemo's food from an online store because pet stores still don't sell quality hamster food. So you have to look for proper care and be informed, but the fact that things like these exist in the first place now is already a huge step forward.
When does a Puffball count as Adult? How old are Kirby, Prisma and Meta? And do you have a personal headcanon which Weapon/Ability Kirby would use as an Adult?
Puffballs reach adulthood when their wings grow in which happens at around 200-250 years old.
Prisma and Meta are both about 350 years old, Meta being older by a few months since he was born in March and Prisma was born in July. Kirby is 50.
Kirby is going to master the Copy ability; he will be the only puffball to not grow put of his power to copy opponents.
Heya! Now that Asks are open, did you ever consider doing an Askblog for your PMD-Comic? That way you could still do stuff with the Characters while the Comic itself is on hiatus!
As cool as that would be, I lack the free time to do Ask blog stuff regularly ;w;) I was saving this sorta event for QnA session at the end of important chapters!
Thank you for the suggestion, though! It's appreciated!!
Hi! This might be a bit different kind of Ask, but I was just wondering, if you might know someone, that offers PMD Sprite-Sheet commissions. I'm not to deep in the PMD Fandom itself, so idk which people to ask in that regard xD
I unfortunately do not personally know any people who offer those sorts of commissions. ;;;; I've seen some folks do PMD portrait stuff, but you might have to go digging deep if you're looking for sprites specifically (and also if you're looking for overworld sprite edits or portrait sprite edits-).
If anyone else knows someone they'd like to recommend, feel free to mention them!
