Can’t help but think of Roman like a fire (for obvious reasons I think) but just the movement between the different aspects of it as a character? Beautiful. I mean he starts out the story running away and leaving a trail of ash behind him (poor Micah) but moving into the forest and not having control at all, almost starting a forest fire, and being saved by Sasha?? He’s grown so much!! Right now he seems all flickering and unsure since his explosion towards his friends, and the late-night soft talk he and Sasha had felt like a candle being allowed to burn safely in a quiet room before being put out for bed. He’s just grown so much, and I’m so proud of him.

OOOOOH OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH i love this analogy so so much and im big emo over this read of roman aaaaa Q___Q roman has certainly been flickering a lot recently and i love that metaphor for him!!!

Hey snooze, how would you flavor moves that are prior evolution exclusive? (Ex. Seed Bomb with Bulbasaur or the majority of the Elemental Monkeys movesets?)

hmmm, gijinka learn moves in a variety of ways - sometimes its genetic (egg moves), sometimes its through natural growth (level-up), sometimes its through being taught (tms & tutor moves). evolution changes a gijinka’s body/ physical make up, and occasionally that happens in ways that prevent them from gaining certain moves through natural growth.

for example, as a panpour, sasha’s magic was more volatile and mutable, so he was able to naturally develop the ability to use scald on his own. as a simipour now, his magic is more stable and “settled”, so he wont naturally gain new moves, however he is still able to learn new ways of channeling his magic if someone teaches him!

Snooze the new page looks so good!! I love the soft lighting and Good Vibes~ they’re spirit lifting! Aside from that I’ve got a worldbuilding question regarding Castform. Do you have any head canons regarding how they interact with weather? Not just on a physical forms basis but on a cultural one, since I feel like it’d be a big part of their species identity? Either way, what an amazing page! It’s really cool to look between current and early pages and see such an improvement! Wonderful work!

regarding castform, while i havent thought much about them (since castform is very much absent from the kalos dex haha) but i’d say they definitely incorporate weather as a big part of their culture! weather-changing moves (rain dance, hail, sunny day) are something of a rite of passage, and learning all three is part of being recognized as an adult for them!

Falling in love with a Pokémon you were neutral about or didn’t like because of using them in a Nuzlocke is the best feeling ever. *desperately hoping none of my kids die but at the same time wanting drama, HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO FEEL*

hey,, so Snooze I was just reading through the 39th page,, and I realized that Edie's tone of saying Abella's name as to her invitation to Kazz and Mirelle was probably the same as Ulrich's had been when she had extended the same invitation to Edie originally. It's a bit of a full circle moment but it makes me a little sad too
