The First Year, Playing With Hellfire & Royal Honor
Everything I Read in 2021
Looking back at everything I Read in 2021
It’s been an entire year. I hope everyone had a good year. I thought I would wrap up the year by looking back at every single book I read in 2021. Honestly, I’m surprised by how many books I read. Not only that but I started reading new genres during the course of this year, though it still is related to fantasy/sci-fi. We’ll see if 2022 is similar in terms of how many books I read. I have a lot…

Apollo Is Mine & Demon King
MC: Aria, Cain, Dorian, Elias
Okay, I was supposed to read the next and final installment on Charley Davidson series, but I wanted a re-intro to the supernatural after reading about cults and traumas the past three books, and I picked this one at random at the top of my library gallery. According to About tab this is book 1/7 in Sin Demons series, with a typical reading time of 4h49m and 312 pages. Honest to God, most often I have no idea what type of book I'm selecting cause of the e-ink, monochromatic feel ok Kindles, so – whatever. I have embrace chaos too long along by not reading summaries at all, nor sharing them with you! Remember those times? Anyway, I had to start reading this book while it was connected to my damn mophie, so, hopefully that won't fuck up the battery life further.
The beginning felt a lot like Mission Impossible, and if you add demons and sex, this would be the book itself. However, taking the sex and demons away, the plot is good – but offers little answers or even a clue about the why's.
we know Aria has a shadow in her. We know she's eighteen. We know she found an Orb and intends to sell it. She's however captured by demons as transfer of payment. Ends up finding a couple of more relics of power these demons are after. However, in her haste, she ends up in the hands of a dragon, and the relics are in the possession of said dragon. The relic itself apparently would offer the demons their ticket home. But it kinda doesn't say how, doesn't go into the story of why Aria holds this very powerful shadow, or how her magic trick is connected to it. We just know she finds them. To be honest, the readers are as much in the dark as everyone.
If you want answers, you won't have them.
If you take the horny fantastic four main characters, the plot has interesting bits, it's entertaining, but you'd need the other books to even make sense of WTF is going on. Recommend if you have the patience to read a full damn story, otherwise, keep finding another book for yourself.
It also has another cover, but believe it or not, I don't remember if this one was it or the post cover was... anyways, it is here for you!
