Anyone else SUPER mad about the fact that there weren't ANY millivas scenes this season? Come ON!
(✿◠‿◠)
@zayahankypanky asked: Zoe Rivas or Tristan Milligan? Both together!
(I know I’m cheating a little but they’re two of my faves and my brotp)
In the most recent Degrassi season, what were your thoughts on the last episode, and the ending of said episode? The reason I'm asking, many people didn't like that they had to end the episode off with an OOC Tristan question about pizza, when Maya was in the hospital fighting for her life. I personally, didn't mind it, but I'm not putting all my thoughts into it, and I'm not a huge part of the fandom, so this could have influence.
DNC spoilers to follow!
Alright. Here’s the thing. People are going to hate on Tristan regardless of what he does. He could probably solve world hunger and he’d get hate. I understand that he’s done some problematic things, and those aren’t okay! But it doesn’t mean that he’s a bad person.
As for the final scenes of episode 10, that was a pretty dark episode in a pretty dark season. I think it says something that Tristan, Miles, and Zoe were even at the hospital considering they aren’t/haven’t been friends with Maya in years.
Tristan asking about pizza, in my opinion, wasn’t insensitive. At that point, there was nothing they could do except be sad. And Miles and Zoe spent a good portion of the season being sad. I also think it was Tristan somewhat trying to normalize and lighten the mood. He’s trying to show Miles (and Zoe) that he’s very much still there, even with his recovery. He’s trying to get their minds off of Maya (and Miles’s heavy statement) and just make them smile.
And it works.
They both laugh, and the season ends with the three of them leaving the hospital to get pizza. It was a spot of HOPE in an otherwise bleak time. Because even though things are different, not everything has to be. Hope is on the horizon, for all of them! Tristan is recovering. Maya is going to have friends to support her, get help, and be okay.
Tl;dr: no, I didn’t find the ending offensive or insensitive. I also think people give Tristan too much shit.
Also thank you for asking and for thinking I have any kind of influence. I’ve been wanting to talk about my feelings on this matter since I first saw people’s reactions. I love you!
“I don’t care what happened before Tris woke up but we got him back”
Random question. Maya and Zoe are they Tristan's best friends or is it only one of them ?
Oh I love this question! Simple answer: Zoe and Tristan are best friends. Maya and Tristan are on better terms again and can probably be considered friends but they aren’t as close as they once were (see in depth answer on why).
In depth answer on both friendship below:
Zoe: "Pity Party for one, your table is now ready."
I hope there are lots of Millivas scenes in Season 4... please.
