Continuing with the drawing request series, crying obsidian alongside it's more common cousin, obsidian! Obsidian on its own is rather rare, and for the most part is only found in the Jagged Peaks, or the Mountain Biome on Dridon, the continent on which Souls of Black takes place!

Obsidian is found in a great reserve in the many caverns in the Peaks, spanning multiple tunnels and caverns. Unknown to the people of the Peaks (Altryxi, they're called) the obsidian is from a long dormant volcano that's been long buried in the mountains. Because of just how big the obsidian reserve is, they nickname it the Obsidian Caverns.

Now, crying obsidian is an even rarer variant of obsidian, sometimes found in the Obsidian Caverns. It's pieces of obsidian that's naturally infused with Fire Magic, one of the seven Elemental Magics of Dridon. With Altryxi research, they theorize that it's also infused with Attribute Enhancement magic, the category enchantments like Protection and Unbreaking belong to, and that is what makes crying obsidian so resistant to explosions. Unlike normal obsidian, which is brittle yet still rather sharp.

The magic inside crying obsidian almost looks trapped inside, glowing purple and giving off its own light.
