So to bring back this blog, I will do the origin of the day, with the one I shall be :3

Today's Origin: Underling

Underling

Born in the depths, you have accustomed to most things down there, but struggle when you are not there.

Small

You are a block tall.

Nine Lives

You have 1 less heart of health than humans.

Depth Mining

Your body is well suited to breaking blocks in the depths of the world. Your break speed is increased for blocks below elevation 32.

Blinded by the Light

Being in too much light blinds you. Wear a leather cap to protect yourself.

Sturdy Skin

Even without wearing armor, your skin provides natural protection.

Strong Arms

You are strong enough to break natural stones using a pickaxe.

Darkvision

You can see in the dark.

Cave Air

Having lived as far down as possible for a long time, your body is only comfortable sleeping in the depths of y = 32 or lower.

Mining Tradition

You get a little experience from breaking stone blocks.

About the Origins AU Comic

it’s not discontinued guys I swear. Work on the next chapter has been kinda slow since I’ve been participating in Artfight + I have irl things that I’ve been working up towards for months now. Recently got an interview for that, so I also have a lot of my focus directed towards that.

Once that’s done, a lot more of my focus will be able to go to the comic. I have the entire chapter planned out already and, according to the plans, it’s going to be one of my longest. Possibly longer than Yellow’s, which I believe(?) currently holds the title for the one with the most panels.

I’m still playing around a bit with what artstyle I want to use but I think I’ve settled on one for now. Uh, backgrounds might be drawn a little bit, or I’ll block out basic shapes for the backgrounds since I frequently forget to grab the Minecraft screenshots when I make chapters, meaning that my work gets set back by multiple days ToT. I’m also toying with the idea of just using real life background images and mashing them together. We’ll see.

Since drawing takes a lot more time for me than planning the chapters out, the one upside of my current situation is that I can plan ahead by a lot chapter-wise, which will be great. Might also make some other art stuff for the AU that isn’t the comic but idk. We’ll see how things go.

By the way, questions about the AU (or any of my AUs, or just general questions) are welcome and wholeheartedly appreciated (and encouraged)! I’ll be able to answer most questions unless they’re super spoiler related, in which I might give a hint if it’s not too big of a deal, so uh. If you wanna ask anything, please do! I don’t bite, I swear/silly
