Koopa Kid Is Probably Baby Bowser

So in a previous post I've put forth speculation on who Koopa Kid is. At this point I do believe Koopa Kid is Baby Bowser who a bit older than the one in Yoshi's Island and Partner's in Time.

First off we know Baby Bowser is one of the various names for Koopa Kid outside of Mini Bowser. I think they are one that's slightly older than the Baby Bowser seen in Yoshi Story. This Baby Bowser seems to be a bit bigger than what we've seen in previous games, and has better speech. They also have at this point ditched their bandana or entirely, and now wears spiked armlets. This Baby Bowser is also aware of who Mario and the Yoshis are. While in the other games he didn't know who Mario was yet until Partner's In Time, and in PIT he didn't seem to hate Yoshis yet.

Finally at this point Baby Bowser is capable of wielding Magic. Koopa Kid is shown to be able to wield magic, wears spiked arm bracelets, doesn't wear a bib or bandana, is a bit bigger than the younger Baby Bowser, looks like Baby Bowser, and is even called Baby Bowser at times. So I think Koopa Kid is Baby Bowser.

Who Is Koopa Kid?

So...... Koopa Kid, Baby Bowser, or Mini Bowser. How would one interpret this character within the Mario lore? I have a few hypotheses on how he fits into the wider Mario canon.

The first one is Koopa Kid, is an older version of Baby Bowser. Aside from Koopa Kid also being called Baby Bowser at times, he could be an older version of Baby Bowser. Aside from the constant time traveling that occurs in these games, we do know characters do bring their younger selves into the present to participate in these events.

My second possible explanation is that they are members of the specific species of Koopa Bowser that is a part of. We have seen more than one of these Koopas Kids before, and they all refer to Bowser things such as lord. So they could be another species of Koopa. The only problem with this is that they look pretty similar to Bowser, Bowser refers to them as if they are actually kids, and the fact they never show up again seems to be a problem for this.

My next possible explanation is that they are all Fake Baby Bowsers excluding 1. This one goes alongside the Baby Bowser Hypothesis, and that is similar to how we had Fake Bowsers in Super Mario Bros. That all these extra Koopa Kids are just enemies that transformed into Baby Bowser with one original one present.

Another explanation is the games take place in another world, maybe the Lost Levels world. The only problem is the fact Mario wins Mario Land in one of these parties. Note: Lost Levels is also note an alternate universe but just a parallel world Bowser went to.

So my final possible and most plausible explanation is that it's just Bowser Jr. When returning to many of these party maps and games Bowser Jr. has taken the role of Koopa Kid. One could see Koopa Kid having been Bowser Jr. all along with the fact it was him being obscured by the game itself. This is a later edit, after thinking about it Koopa Kid is probably not Bowser Junior for the simple fact that Koopa Kid appears in the era Peach is still using her classic dress.
