Okay so…
Here’s what we’ve come up with!
There’s a currently unnamed Trapped In The Mall fic where the Chipmunks and Chipettes accidentally end up stuck in the mall after it closes and they do some LARPing to pass the time. Each one puts on a different persona and they try to outwit a “burglar” that may or may not actually be a burglar. I haven’t decided yet.
ALVIN 2.0: I wanna do one about that time an invention of mine and Simon’s accidentally swapped each of our superpowers/special skills. It also doesn’t have a title yet. All I remember is that Ellie gets my dreamwalking abilities and Theo gets Simon’s memory and uses it to memorize recipes from like 20 cookbooks. That one maaay need to be a full on 3-5 chapter fic though and not a mini fic.
JEANETTE: I’m very passionate about the Miss. Miller-centric quilting mini tale. Quilty Pleasure. Or some title with a pun on Block? Maybe Rock Around The Block? It starts with her realizing that she has more quilting supplies than one person needs. Then, she and Eleanor and Britt and I come up with the idea to throw a neighborhood block party and invite all the people interested in quilting. It’s a quilt block party! We have teased this one a bit on Tumblr just like we did with the prank fic.
SIMON: There’s one where Alvin and I uncover old memories that I had repressed from the early days after we first met Dave. I don’t want to dive into too much detail because there’s big spoilers, but it does have me singing You’re The Inspiration by Chicago to Alvin. It’s a really sweet brotherly moments fic.
ALVIN 2.0: Is that Eternal Sunshine Of The Absent Mind?
SIMON: No, that’s a different plot. We’re not anywhere near that one yet.
THEODORE: There’s still that Simon and Jeanette friendship fic where they help rescue a beaver family and rebuild their dam after Alvin crashes into it with Simon’s Munkmobile.
JEANETTE: I totally forgot about that one until now.
ALVIN 2.0: And, lastly, there’s the Brimon fic where Brittany tries to make her own cryptocurrency and Simon is her frazzled assistant who keeps questioning his life choices. The title of that one? BRITTCOIN!
BRITTANY: Oh no! That one is so embarrassing!
ELEANOR: There’s actually like 30 more ideas but these are the best contenders for next in the lineup.
I’m getting slightly VERY slightly overwhelmed thinking about the next fic. But….I’d love to hear your thoughts.
OH SHOOT! I forgot the one where Alvin’s trying to track down a book that got banned from several school libraries because it caused a rise in conspiracy theories. Read At Your Own Risk. I want the song for that one to be Don’t Judge This Book By Its Cover by the Moffats.
