As a space nerd, it's actually getting irritating seeing every artemis ii post immediately gain negative (and many times, misinformed) comments of miserable people within seconds of going up.

YES the country is a shitshow and the president sucks. YES there are more indirect carbon emissions. YES the mission has a few issues, but this is a major achievement for humanity and science as a whole.

Beautiful words from everyone who worked on the mission, children and future astronauts tuning in from class, and people globally commenting "godspeed from ____" all contribute to the collective spirit of humanity. I cannot stress enough how important it is to maintain a sense of wonder, curiosity, and most importantly hope for a brighter future in dark times. At least let others do that for more than 2 seconds!

I'm not saying ignore the problems, but it's not helping anyone to immediately shit all over anything remotely positive. If you want real change, it is imperative to hope. Even with all our problems, we have to hope.

I'm really not a fan of when people claim Alastor wasn't doing anything at the hotel in Season 2. He wasn't helping with anything extra but he was definitely still working. You can tell by the fact that things got worse at the hotel after Alastor got kidnapped. Charlie quite literally stated that things were harder without him when complaining about his being kidnapped. Hell, things being harder without him was one of Charlie's major complaints about his kidnapping. She would have no reason to say this, if he were truly doing nothing because his absence would have changed nothing. The fact that this was a complaint she made shows that even with Alastor reducing his workload, due to suffering from an angelic injury by the way, he was still doing enough work for his absence to have an impact.

When drawing Follie....

Please stop slimming her down, even top-end artists I love are making her skinnier, to make her more 'sexy' like god damn please let a fat character be fat, it's not like there aren't tonnes of slim characters already. yeah drawing bigger characters are harder to get right but that doesn't mean you can try and practise.

but, seriously. I'm really disappointed, I loved Viester's voice acting and singing performance. he really made Aiden sound animated and made all his sarcasm hit.

if they remove Viester from the cast, i'll completely understand. it's just such a shame that he said something so shitty, his performance was great. of course he had to ruin it by being a POS.

I wish for mc art to be buffer

ok here’s the situation; I feel like in a large percentage of fan art on the pvp side of mcyt fanart lacks the muscles that fit with the type of physicality they art doing. First off, this isn’t like a bodybuilder type build. Most people who frequently train with weapons have more functional muscle that isn’t as noticeable as your usual gym bro, but it still does exist.

One of my most specific examples I have for fanart that I feel doesn’t do a character justice is uu!wemmbu. (Also feel the need to note I’m not shitting on anyone’s art and I really like a lot of people’s representations of uu!wemmbu, this is just a minor rant of mine) When you look at a mace in real like it is a heavy spiked ball of iron and it takes some work to lift. If you have someone who uses that frequently their shoulders are going to be defined and strong because that takes work to do. Additionally with the uu!wemmbu example flying, even with an elytra, does require core strength and balance which should be physically represented.

To summarize: when designing a character or doing fanart one thing I really love to see or try to emulate is what physical requirements might be needed to do all the cool stuff. Sometimes you gotta use your imagination though because last time I checked humans don’t got wings or purple skin XD

Something that irks me is whenever someone asks for an explanation as to why someone could possibly like Montresor/have him as a favorite. Not that asking for an explanation is anything bad, trying to garner other perspectives is a good thing, but it’s usually in bad faith like “wtf how could you possibly like him !! He sucks !! He has fans…?!”

It’s specifically with Montresor. His fans don’t owe anyone an explanation anyways and can like him for any reason
