Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood tickle headcanons (it's mostly Royai because I'm obsessed) Buckle up because it's a hefty one

Roy Mustang

As a Ler:

-> He's very.. deliberate. Intentional, most of the time. With both his teasing and tickling. Maps out his lees hotspots to exploit at just the right timing, to provoke the biggest reactions.

-> Takes great pride in making the lee laugh uncontrollably, whether that be frantic giggles or hysterical cackles and screeches

-> Having said this, he teases said lee about just that.

"You know, someone is sure to hear you at this rate.. quiet down some, would'ya?"

"What's wrong? Can't take it? That's too bad, isn't it?"

-> Very common to see him wrecking the Elric brothers, especially if they've been overworked or are being annoying and hyperactive.

-> Also very commonly gets Riza, because they're in love your honor. Knows all her spots and is the only one who could ever tickle her and not get wrecked to tears every time

-> big fan of "training" tickles. He sees it as the perfect excuse to have fun and get in real training (and it tires out the kids)

-> King of "interrogation" tickles. Does it under the guise of training but everyone knows he just wants a reason to be playful.

-> "I'll quit when you tell me where my gloves are, Fullmetal!"

"IHIHI- I SAHAID I DONT KNOHOHOW!"

"Well, I'll stop when you DO know." Whole time his gloves are in the wash.

-> Punishment tickles. Havoc slacking off? Wrecked. Riza training too hard? Wrecked. Maes won't shut up about his wife and kid? Wrecked. Elrics arguing so loud he can hear them from his office? Wrecked.

-> It's nearly impossible to sneak up on Roy, so anyone who attempts it gets caught and tickled for even trying.

As a Lee:

-> Blushes VERY easily.

-> Overall ticklishness is probably about a 6/10

-> Most ticklish spots are his armpits, knees, and his hands (all over his hands is basically 9/10)

-> Always tries to hold his laugh in, and it comes out as choked giggles at first, then full belly laughs that he still tries to contain

-> He snorts, and gasps, and if you somehow do manage surprise poke him, you might get a squeak out of him.

-> Will deny being ticklish even if he's laughing his head off.

-> Most common lers for Roy are Riza, Maes, and Havoc, they're just the closest to him, and yes Maes is very much not dead in my brain.

-> Riza specifically wrecks him the most (and he gets her back, duh) one of her favorite things is to stand behind him if he's working too much, and trace her nails along his neck and ears until he agrees to stop working.

-> Just like how he calls her Lieutenant as a tease, she'll use his title too

-> "Yknow, for someone of your standing, Colonel, you sure are ticklish.."

-> Gets dragged into tickle fights with Maes more often than you'd think, Maes and Havoc WILL jump him.

-> Riza tickles him out of bed on the weekends, she is an early bird and he is NOT. But gentle cuddly tickles along his back are in his top 3 ways to wake up

Riza Hawkeye

As a Ler:

◇ Riza is the most devious, yet gentle ler you ever saw bro.

◇ WILL find and memorize EVERY little spot and reaction and file them away for later use. She is even more evil than the very straightforward Colonel when it comes to this because she won't ever forget and she'll use this info at her leisure.

◇ She is also very mother, she tickles the Elric brothers, as well as Winry, Ling and Lan Fan whenever they seem too stressed or anxious. They are just kids to her, after all. She feels like it's her responsibility to let them be kids every once in a while, a sentiment shared by all the adults that follow the troublemakers around.

◇ Shes cunning, invites Roy to snuggle up with her just so she can get her evil hands on him and tickle him. He falls for it every time.

◇ "Well, Colonel, I'm sure if you were really bothered, you'd just leave. I'm not holding you hostage, yknow."

"Y-yehes you AHAHARE- RIZA-"

"Oh? I thought I was Lieutenant to you, sir."

◇ Grappling queen, she spent a lot of her training wrestling and play fighting with Havoc and Maes, can and will pin and wreck a grown man in under 20 seconds.

◇ Has an extra soft spot for Winry, she can smell her crush on Ed from miles away. Winry has a tendency to overwork and overworry just at much as Roy, and Riza can't stand for that! She'll pick the girl right up and tickle her off to a couch where she can force her to relax.

"Cmon little bell, you'll be in no shape to welcome Edward back if you've worked yourself to exhaustion before he even finishes the job!"

"Why wohohould i ever welcome thahahat ihihidiot back! He's probably needing repairs anyway-!"

◇ One of the few people who can sneak up on Roy, their level of trust is so deep that he doesn't always register her presence because it doesn't cause a shift in the environment like other people.

◇ Teases Roy about being useless in the rain while getting him because she wrecked him so bas he had tears in his eyes

"Don't start crying on me now Colonel! You're already useless in the rain!"

(He gets her back BAD for that one)

◇ When Ling and Edward argue she tickles them both at the same time until they apologize to each other.

◇ Alfonse once called her mom on accident and it was so cute she had to tickle him for it

As a Lee:

◇ Riza is actually quite ticklish, probablyyyyy 7/10 or so

◇ Worst spots are her back, shoulders, neck, and thighs

◇ Unlike Roy, Riza is actually good at holding in her laugh, and when she isn't holding it in, she has rather soft laughter most of the time, it sounds very cute and almost breathy, everybody who's ever had the privilege of hearing it thinks it's SO CUTE, but only Roy is risking saying that to her face

◇ Can NOT handle being tickled on her neck or shoulders/back, the only places that make her laugh super loudly, especially where her tattoo was.

◇ She is SO BAD at being teased, any and all teasing just wrecks her immediately, especially if it's Roy teasing her.

◇ "Sohohomeone will hear! Sir-!"

"Then I guess you'd better be quiet huh, Lieutenant?"

◇ Don't even get me started on interrogation tickles. Riza is torn between her pride as an officer, and how sensitive she is.

◇ Roy loves pulling her aside from her duties to tickle her every once in a while, making her play along by playful pulling rank.

"Stay still, Lieutenant."

"Sir-"

"That's an order."

◇ FRIED. Poor Riza.

◇ if anyone who isn't Roy wants to REALLY wreck her, they need to come prepared and with backup, ie: they gotta jump her

◇ Havoc and Maes will grab and tickle her if she looks too serious, or as revenge on behalf of the kids, because that woman is mean! (They love it, everyone's favorite ler is Riza)

[ an extract from the personal essay i'm writing for my writing course + a paragraph taken from my free-writing ideation <3 ]

I scribble anecdotes on faceless strangers: how to quell loneliness. I spot neatly-pressed dress shirts yearning for an intangible golden future, loud and psychedelic graphic tees thrumming beneath full-volume headphones, oversized warm-tone clothes that were undoubtedly purchased from Muji a few levels below, and I spy the easily-noticeable black H.I.P.P t-shirts that resemble the one suffocating underneath my lavender sweater. Hidden destiny, teetering jenga. Your life pressed into the asphalt. Certainty burns. My chest clenches when I take a sip from my cup. 

Guzheng performance dress | Magenta with accented blue. Silky and shiny, elegant and graceful. Practice makes perfect, the spotlight is on you. They won’t see blue embroidered camellias on your chest, but the dance of your fingers when you strum with candour. It takes everyone by surprise (They expected little of you. You, who sits at the back. You, who wring your wrists and pick at the beaded camellia. What can you do? Does this satisfy you?) Sometimes the sleeves are too tight, they press into your skin. White rings of Saturn, let the stage orbit around you.

4 - Drunken Confessions 

Lan Xichen always smiles when he hears about the Twin Jades of Gusu. It is good to provide an unified front to the rest of the cultivation world. To send a message that the Lan Sect is strong, as immovable as the mountains they live above.

But still, he remembers when it was only him sitting by his uncle’s side. Lan Xichen didn’t yet understand why his father shut himself away, why his mother’s home was locked from the outside. The shadow of absent parents never interfered with his daily routine. One day he’d be the sect leader, and his uncle hadn’t hesitated to drill in all the information he’d need since he was able to walk. 

Lan Qiren had paid special attention when teaching Lan Xichen the sect rules, so that he’d keep them in his heart and not only parrot them out due to a sense of obligation. He’d made sure his nephew understood why every single one was necessary, how they brought harmony, diligence and peace for all those who were both bound and protected by them. 

But even so, despite all the efforts put into raising him to be the image of an immortal, Lan Xichen feels no trace of guilt as he gulps the heavy, sweet wine down his throat. Maybe he would, he thinks, if he’d been drinking alone. Maybe then he’d feel the crushing weight of disappointing his uncle and every loft idea those rules stood for. 

But he isn’t drinking alone. So he doesn’t. As he stares at the serious figure of his eldest sworn brother, all Lan Xichen can feel is a warmth that has nothing to do with the alcohol pulsing slowly through his veins. It burns through him all the way to his meridians and it is a comforting heat. It does not scare him, for he feels it every time he is alone with Nie Mingjue. Most days he doesn’t even acknowledge it, so used Lan Xichen is to the shot of adrenaline when a victorious grin is sent his way.

Alcohol is prohibited in the Cloud Recesses. 

One of the many rules for which his sect is mocked for behind closed doors. Who do those Lan think they are? The question is spit out, not asking for any answer besides other ugly jeers. Scared is what Lan Xichen never responds, for they never say it to his face. When he’s there, he’s always Zewu-jun and they wouldn’t dare offend him. But still, Lan Xichen can’t help but answer it in his heart. Liquor is not allowed inside the Cloud Recesses, for they are all scared of exposing their hearts. 

Right now, hidden in the fortress that is the Unclean Realm, staring at the silent war god relaxing in casual robes, Lan Xichen is anything but scared. It is suddenly very easy to simply reach out and grab Nie Mingjue’s large hands and fold them between his own. It is very easy to ignore the startled question falling from his sworn brother’s lips to press them against his. 

The Lan clan is cursed, his uncle had said more than once. Our hearts can only be given out once, so it is better to protect them behind locks and chains and walls so no petty thief can walk away with your life in their hands. 

Still Lan Xichen can’t find it in himself to hesitate. All the protections around his heart have fallen one by one so much time ago. There’s nothing stopping him from offering it as he’s gently pulled back from a wine sweetened kiss. 

So he doesn’t.

Up first, my goat

Senku Ishigami!

Now I love senku, nerdy types have always been some of my favorites, so pardon the incoming yap fest.

Lee Senku

𓍊𓋼𓍊 Senku is very sensitive. For most people, this is not a problem.

For senku, most problems for normal people are not problems for him, as his nerdiness is usually more than enough to get him through most situations, if not by actual chemical science, then by talking. UNFORTUNATELY, you really can't talk your way out of tickles. Or at least senku can't.

"Do you know that humans reaction to tic- that, is actually an evolutionary response? Scientists thought it to be a way for children and their families to encourage defending yourself-"

"So defend yourself, dear senku. I can see that hint of a smile on your ace-fay."

"That's also an evolutionary response."

"To what?"

"Be-ING- GEHEHEHEHEHEN! GEHET OFFA ME"

𓍊𓋼𓍊 Senku does NOT say he isn't ticklish. He knows that's too unbelievable. He says he's "a little" ticklish. He gets tickled anyway.

𓍊𓋼𓍊 His worst spots are his neck, armpits, and knees. No one knows about his knees though, only Gen and Byakuya were the only ones to know about that.

𓍊𓋼𓍊 Sometimes needs to be tickled right away from his work. Senku gets very deeply invested in his science and Gen, Tsukasa, or Taiju have to drag him off.

𓍊𓋼𓍊 Senku will occasionally start a tickle fight he can't possible win

Tsukasa, Ryusui, or Kohaku are the most likely to wreck him COMPLETELY.

Gen, Taiju, Ukyo, are not exactly at a disadvantage, but Senku has a chance at least.

𓍊𓋼𓍊 Xeno sometimes tickles Senku. I dont make the rules. As Senku's biggest intellectual rival/mentor/enemy turned friend for now, he enjoys occasionally poking, tracing, swiping, squeezing or skittering his fingers along spots he presumes are sensitive, or that he knows about from collecting info from the others residents of the Kingdom of Science. Senku would not admit it out loud, but it always gives him a tiny hit of dopamine.

After gaining enough "intel" he finally strikes in earnest, waiting until Senku was alone, working on more world saving plans. He stands behind him, Senku notices, but doesn't say anything. He's immersed in blueprints. Xeno steps behind him, looking over Senku's shoulder at the blueprints on the desk.

"You got anything useful to add or you gonna stand there and gawk, Doctor X."

"I was merely contemplating your imminent demise, Dr. Senku."

Senku isn't worried, but he very quickly becomes worried when he feels Xeno's fingers ever so softly skittering at the extremely sensitive spot on the nape of his neck, causing him to lurch forward and honest to God snort. He scrunched his shoulders up, as Xeno expected—this was a simple reflexive reaction after all—and he let his other hand slip under Senku's right arm (slightly more sensitive, if Xeno understood correctly) and began to scribble there and just slightly down his ribs, focusing on the middle of the two spots.

Poor Senku didn't stand a chance, first pushing himself forward, leaning over the desk, before arching back, slamming into Xeno's chest. Xeno had expected this, bracing for the soft impact. Senku didn't have much leverage here, and it was taking all his strength not to crumble into boyish giggles. (He was unsuccessful.)

"I do love when a very elegant plan comes together."

"ahahshand- I HAHAHATE YOUANDYOURSHITTYPLANA- XEHENO-"

"Of course, and that's why you're still leaning against me."

"THEHEHERES NOHOHOT A MILLIMETER OF SPAHAHCE-"

"There are actually so many millimeters of space that even scientists of the old would had no hope of calculating its vastness."

Senku got gotten so bad that he switched to Japanese at some point, which Xeno found indescribably amusing.

𓍊𓋼𓍊 Kohaku, Tsukasa, and Hyoga occasionally get senku if hes been an asshole and say they're helping him get stronger (they're not)

𓍊𓋼𓍊 As a kid, Senku really liked being tickled, but he NEVER admitted it. He just sulked around until Byakuya decided to tickle him to cheer him up, which turned out to be a lot less expensive than buying him new science equipment. (He still had to do that too.)

𓍊𓋼𓍊 Overall senku is aroundddd 7.5/10 for how ticklish he is, with a few really really bad spots and not a lot of willpower to stand it

𓍊𓋼𓍊 Verbal teases get him real bad. Can NOT handle whispering in his ears. Gen knows.

Ler Senku

𓍊𓋼𓍊 Lazy Ler. Senku is weak, he isn't good at pinning anyone down except MAYBE Gen, so instead he relies on his knowledge of human anatomy + his friends' innate sensitivities + his rudimentary teasing and taunting paired with his over the top sciency explanations to wreck them.

"Hm? It tickles? Yeah. That's normal, I'm tickling you."

"SEHEHEHEHENKUHU!"

"That's my name, does saying it make it tickle less? It shouldn't." Cue Senku tickling even harder.

𓍊𓋼𓍊 Devious yet simple teaser

"You're having muscle spasms, flailing about, it must really tickle.."

"You're screaming because I'm essentially assaulting your nervous system. Your brain knows you're not being hurt but the sensation is so pervasive and uncontrollably real that your brain thinks laughing is the way to respond. Except humans are hardwired to enjoy the sound of laughter, so it makes us continue to tickle. In other words, you're laughing, so i have to keep going. I can stop when you stop laughing."

"Yknow, for someone so strong, you sure are sensitive."

"You're ten billion percent ticklish."

"The reason you can feel it vibrating all over your chest when I do this-" he presses his fingers between Taiju's upper ribs and starts to vibrate and shake his hands up and down quickly

*screaming cackles from taiju*

"Is because the intercoastal nerves run under and along your ribs, and are extra sensitive to pressure and vibration, which also makes the feeling wrap around the chest and even move downwards."

𓍊𓋼𓍊 Senku occasionally gets into ruthless ler moods, in which he aims to produce as much manic laughter as he possibly can. The most likely victims of these moods are Gen, Taiju, Yuzuriha, Ukyo, and Chrome.

𓍊𓋼𓍊 Once concocted a "compound" that makes you more ticklish, and then gave it to Chrome, before wrecking him silly. He never explained that it was just water with some sugar and berry juice.

𓍊𓋼𓍊 Senku will very gently tickle Suika when she's sad and beyond comforting words, craves proximity. Especially after being alone for so long.

𓍊𓋼𓍊 when you're as weak as Senku is, it takes some creativity to get what you want from a bunch of overly strong weirdos. So Senku can be seen tickling his way through people. Side pokes to get them to move out of his way, wake up tickles to get Gen off of him, sudden bursts of squeez-y tickles to get Taiju to stop hugging him, soft tracing along Kohaku's back to get her to stop being such a worrywart over Senku, etc.

𓍊𓋼𓍊 VERY big on revenge tickles. Just look at him, he has to put that evil genius to work somehow. His revenge on Xeno was legendary. He got him so bad that Xeno actually called Stanley for help because senku decided to get him while he was in the lab, handling incredibly dangerous things.

𓍊𓋼𓍊 His favorite lees are Gen, Taiju, and Chrome.

𓍊𓋼𓍊 Finds it exhilarating to wreck his friends, and thinks it keeps morale high too.

sorry I'm late here's some barely there wangxian (featuring outside POV!!!)

Wangxian - Truth Or Dare

"No way! I'm not playing truth or dare with you in the room Jiang Cheng! You know all of my most embarrassing secrets, so I don't trust you not to screw me over."

He says this, but Jiang Cheng can see the smile fighting its way into Wei Wuxian's face. It's more than obvious that he's excited to start, only protesting Nie Huaisang's suggestion to start some drama. After all, and here Jiang Cheng smirks, there's no guarantee he'll ever find another opportunity to corner his elusive, cold blooded, tight lipped crush to spill his feelings.

Surprisingly enough Lan Wangji doesn't try to escape the situation. Either he is not aware of the danger he's in or he doesn't care. Jiang Cheng doesn't know what would be more annoying. He turns his attention to the person who started this whole thing and almost chokes on the blood rising up his throat.

Nie Huaisang is wearing the most machiavellian expression he's ever donned, the crink of his eyes and the nervousness in his smile not enough to mask the intense study of the two other people in the room. Jiang Cheng is suddenly confronted with the idea that instead of a hand waved suggestion based on watching too many high school movies, Nie Huaisang's every word until now were just laying down the foundation for this moment.

Jiang Cheng feels trapped and he's not sure when exactly he walked into it. What exactly could his meek schoolmate want with this little party game? He's uncomfortably aware of his and Lan Wangji's position in society, of company secrets he's sworn not to speak of and it's all he can do not to call off everything in an impulse of paranoia.

He clears his head. Jiang Cheng will soon inherent Lotus Pier Exports and it won't do for him to give away his cards so soon. He puts on a scowl on his face and barks a "stop stalling, Wei Wuxian!" at his brother's general direction. He receives a sticking out tongue for his troubles but Wei Wuxian finally quiets down.

"Ah, big brother Wei, let me start since I was the one who suggested this game." Nie Huaisang's tone of voice is whiny, desperate for pity, and Jiang Cheng can definitely see why people would lower their guards around him. It only puts Jiang Cheng more on guard. Receiving no protests, Nie Huaisang takes it as permission to ask his question.

"So, big brother Wei... do you like anybody?" This takes everyone in room by surprise. Jiang Cheng's alarm bells are ringing rapidly. What? Why does he want to know about his brother's love life? Could it be Nie young master would go so low as to seduce company information out of someone? He's about to snap when he notices it.

Nie Huaisang isn't staring at the completely red faced Wei Wuxian in front of him. His attention is focused on their until now silent companion, Lan Wangji glaring daggers at the teen who dared to make a move on Wei Ying in front of him.

Jiang Cheng sees the curl of satisfaction in the corner of Nie Huaisang's mouth like his mission had already been accomplished and all he can think is "ah". He snorts, tension rolling off his shoulders until he can give Wei Wuxian a teasing smirk.

"Yes, Wei Wuxian. Tell us about your totally not real crush."

His brother tries to laugh it off, Lan Wangji does nothing but stare like he always does, Nie Huaisang is basking in smug victory and Jiang Cheng shakes his head. Honestly why would someone look so evil when all he's doing is a little matchmaking?

It's Hard Saying Goodbye

I wrote this like months ago but it never quite got finished but now I've refined it and oh my god re-reading it I actually cried a little bit help

The sun began its descent in the western sky. Night fell quickly over the landscape, making the brightly-lit house all the more noticeable. Cheerful conversation and sounds of celebration could be heard from inside.

  Honeydew slipped out the front door, stumbled down the front steps, and sat down heavily. He downed the remaining contents of his mug and sighed.

  A stray chicken wandered over to him. He glared at it.

  “Can’t believe they’re celebrating him leaving,” he mumbled, almost as if talking to the animal. “Seems kinda rude, honestly. He’s being taken away from all his friends who care about him and don’t want to see him go…” He trailed off, staring into his empty mug. He silently debated whether to get some more beer before deciding that pushing through the merry crowd wouldn’t be worth it.

  His brow furrowed and his mouth hardened into a thin line. “You know what?” He shifted his weight. “Who even needs that guy? Abandoning his friends like this, it’s irresponsible! Just… fuck that guy.”

  “I know, right? What a jerk.” Honeydew’s eyes widened. He looked to the source of the second voice and found the object of his external monologue sitting next to him. “With what he’s doing, it seems like he doesn’t care about his friends at all,” Xephos continued. He smiled sadly. “Who knows what kind of crazy thoughts could be running through his head.”

  Honeydew’s stomach turned. He looked down at the ground between his feet. “Uh, well, maybe he’s homesick and misses his old friends.”

  Xephos nodded slightly. “Maybe, maybe. But, y’know, maybe he’s kind of confused as well.”

  Honeydew turned to him questioningly. “Confused?”

  Xephos faced his friend. “Maybe he doesn’t know where he belongs anymore. When he first came here, he used to want to go back more than anything, but maybe now he’s not so sure.

  “But there’s one thing he is sure of. He loves all of his friends dearly, and will miss them when he goes.” His voice broke. “And there isn’t anything, time or distance, that can change the way he feels.” He scrubbed at his eyes with the heel of his hand.

  Honeydew grabbed him into a tight embrace. Xephos hugged him back hard. The two sat like that for a while.

  Honeydew was the first to break the silence. “So, can you stop with the third-person thing now? It’s kinda weird.”

  Xephos laughed. “Okay, I will. Don’t worry.” He rested his chin on top of Honeydew’s head. “You’re my best friend, man.”

  Honeydew could feel the lump in his throat rising again. “Yeah…”

  Xephos broke off the hug. “You alright to go back inside?” He pointed his thumb back towards the door.

  “Sure.” Honeydew heaved himself up to his feet, wobbling slightly. “I might need some help, though. Getting shitfaced then crying wasn’t my best idea ever.”

  Xephos laughed and put a steadying hand on his shoulder as the two walked back into the house.

TUMBLR IN THE HOUSE WHEREVER AND WHENEVER I WANTED!

I was situated in the family room downstairs, enjoying the extra light provided by the numerous large windows. I idly stroked my dog Holly as I scrolled, once in a while reblogging or liking something.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. Holly bolted off and started barking her head off as she usually does. My parents didn't tell me to expect anyone, so I figured it was the FedEx guy or something. As I got up and approached the door, I heard a faint whooshing noise. For whatever reason, my gut instinct said jetpack, but logic quickly snuffed out that idea. It was probably just a car.

I opened the door to find a cardboard box with a letter on top of it. Closer inspection revealed the letter to be marked "Miomi50." I raised my eyebrows. Only one person I knew could have done this.

I picked up the package and returned to my computer. I opened the letter and began to skim its contents.

"Dear Yognau(gh)t, Thank you for supporting blah blah blah something about eggs blah blah blah signed Lalna," I read aloud to myself. The handwriting scrawled across the page didn't really look like Abby's, but I supposed she was trying to make it that way.

I pulled up my Skype window and typed a quick message to her.

Miomi: haha very funny

I expected her to reply a few minutes later once she had arrived back at her house, but to my surprise, she responded immediately.

Abbie: ?

I figured she was online on her phone and was trying to trick me.

Miomi: the package

Miomi: from "lalna"

Abbie: what are you talking about?

Miomi: dont play dumb with me I can put 2 and 2 together

Abbie: what??

Miomi: ok fine ill just open this thing

Slightly exasperated at Abby's stubbornness, I opened up the box and shuffled through the papers cushioning whatever was inside. What I pulled out was a dark gray egg-shaped thing with blue stripes that almost seemed to glow. I turned it around in my hands. Warmth was radiating from it. I shrugged, set it in my lap, and continued blogging.

Before long, the sunlight streaming through the windows turned into moonlight. My eyes began to droop. I managed to type out a mangled message to Abby.

I laid down on the floor, instinctively curling around the egg still in my lap, and slowly fell asleep.
