How do you think, was Chloe rejecting akuma in “Miraculer” a red herring?

Yes and No?

I think it still stands as a point in favor of characterization of Chloe. She has a Very Strong will when she puts her mind to something. Even isolated and without support she was able to push Hawkmoth out. Everyone else so far has had help of some kind, a friend, magical support, or concrete knowledge to aid them. Chloe is the only person to do it out of sheer willpower.

As a sign of an ongoing redemption arc? Totally a red herring.

I like this episode in concept and in execution.

But I also know that it feels like a f*** you to anyone that wanted a chloé redemption.

i liked Chloé resisting akumatization

I liked Chloé fighting Mayura.

If an episode made me want the Chloé redemption arc. It would be this one.

But as a stand alone. I like this episode. I liked Miracular as a villain.

The sheer strength Adrien Agreste must have...

In Miracular when he not only had his powers taken but ALSO had been catclysmed in the ribs more than once (and I'm pretty sure this is the first time we have even seen a person get directly hit with a cataclysm) he still manages to fight and fight well.

We see a funny moment where he extends his staff but instead of leaping away he just slides to the ground like on a fire pole as a "normal" human would. Is this a result of loss of strength?

Based on this display we can assume that any enhanced endurance, agility, strength, or speed he had I'd gone, so he's fighting without them and in pain (probably akin to broken ribs) and he is fighting back.

Adrien fights and evades well even as just Adrien in a costume. This boy is smart and can read a situation and is fighting his hardest to buy ladybug time. His inner monologue had to have included the phrase "Just a little bit longer... then Ladybug can use Miraculous Ladybug and fix things. Just keep going a little longer and it will stop" bc you can't tell me this boy wasnt in agony while saving the day.

OH. oh they're standing back to back. K, I was a bit startled for a second there. Didn’t quite know what I was looking at.

It looks a bit uh...unexpectedly cozy if ya know what I mean. 

It's a strange comp/angle too, but at the same time, they're deliberately crowding each other, surrounded by a huge amount of negative space. Like it really is them versus the world and it's surprisingly intimate.

But it's also hilarious because this smacks of a dude peeing at a urinal next to 50 other empty stalls, and the next guy still makes an effort to walk past all of them and stand next to him.

THat's Nathalie. That's Nathalie deciding to ride up on Gabriel like they're stuck in a broom closet.

And did they practice for the pose?  Or did they just decide to have a team villain stance? We all know Nathalie conceived the idea and executed it, but Gabriel doesn't even care.

They are literally ass to ass and he's like: Yep, this is some peak villainry Nathalie, good job. Got any other ideas?

Can we talk about how FLAWLESS the animation was for Miracular??

So far this season Miracular has been the best episode! I really loved the character development Chloe had, she’s becoming a lot more stronger.

Chat Noir being hurt (again) is also an interesting element. I can’t wait to see what the writers do next! 🤩
