When I think of a Shepard x Miranda romance I always wonder, what does she see when she looks at them? Like building and reconstituting someone from the ground up, fleshing them together day by day in exact detail until you see the person alive breathing and talking? Then getting to know them, their quirks, opinions and what makes them laugh? Knowing you gave them a second chance at life and they want to spend it with you?

this is my Shepard, Arishtoka (dragon age reference) and her girlfriend, Miranda :) If there's a companion character that I absolutely hate during a playthrough, the next one has to be dedicated to romancing that character, to force me to have empathy for them and to realize their complexity (or not, in the case of jacob lower case j cuz i disrespect that man purposefully)

Miranda is surprisingly soft, and I cannot wait to see her full character arc during act 2 :)

CONFESSION:

One thing I will never get is why some fan fiction authors chose to portray Miranda as someone super vain and shallow. I mean in the stereotypical stuck up hot girl way. Yeah, Miranda is very confident, wears a skin tight cat suit and knows she is hot. But we never, ever see her making fun of someone’s looks or calling someone ugly or mocking men for not looking good enough. Or comparing herself to other women in regards to physical appearance. Miranda is above that. This is petty childish stuff that she doesn’t do. She admires Shepard purely for abilities (which she thinks are due to Shepard’s drive, not anything genetic), not for their looks. And bragging about looks is the last thing she’d do is because she knows she just looks that way because her Dad had money. She knows she’d most likely have flaws like most people if it weren’t for the modifications. She doesn’t even believe she can take credits for her achievements, which, unlike her looks she can because she put lots of work into everything.
