Samsara by ros3bud009: kobd, tfp/tfRiD. wildbreak meets knockout and feels like hes met a piece of himself thats always been missing. this one is so sweet, and i absolutely love the reincarnation take- its the fic that made me think more about my own reincarnation au-theory-thing! ive never been one for sparklings, so while i understand people making jokes about wildbreak being a kobd child, i liked this one much better. really great fic if you want some kobd angst that still sticks pretty close to canon ^^

An Anatomy of Hate by neveralarch: starscream solo, cyberverse. (major cyberverse spoilers!) a look into starscreams time spent with the scientist. i loooove this one, im a huge sucker for body horror and this one was just mmmwah so good. inspired me to start writing my own cyberverse fic (which i Will get back to once i finish my big bang i promise). if you wanna see starscream put through the wringer, definitely read this

Beneficence (orphan account): koss, tfp. i do love me some tfp koss, its soo good. that zombie episode is the best episode of tfp there is, and i love this nice little snack of a fic that gives me an after. a classic 'starscream in the medibay and knock out is fixing him up' fic, a favorite type for me

Still Gone by raazdurbain: cdrw, idw1. two therapy sessions with the same conclusion. OGHHHHHH. OGH OGH OUUUGHHHHH. cdrw my BELOVED...i absolutely adore this fic, the writing is just, so stellar, so good, and the formatting, mwah mwah mwah (maybe read it on a computer tho not phone lol). soooo fucking good, sweet delicious angst, i love a therapy fic especially where it doesnt really fix anything. its a dual character study more than a ship fic, but FUCKKKKKK its so good. its So Good and it does NOT have the attention it deserves.

The Properties of Sound by Decepticonsensual: wavewave, g1. shockwave has spent 4 million years being the loneliest mech in the world, and now that the decepticons are back, hes slowly finding someone in his corner. this one is very sweet, i like the descriptions and introspection a lot. im also just very fond of the way that shockwave is written, his devotion to megatron being a key pillar to his character with the fic still being about his relationship to soundwave

A Valentine, Presumably by Red Dragon (Red_Dragonn): dragstrip centric, background blast off/dead end, g1. dead end delivers an anonymous valentine to drag strip and it goes extremely poorly. i love how this author writes the stunticons, theyre really, really good at writing conversations. trust me it is HARD to write more than three characters in a scene, much less five, and they balance it so well. mind the tags on this one, there is explicit self harm and a suicide attempt, but i will just say that YES while its obviously quite an angsty fic this author has the ability to almost make it a black comedy?? like its treated seriously, but the characters, just the way that they TALK, theres a morbid humor to it that i love

MATURE & EXPLICIT

Bleeding Out for You by deadlysoupy: starbee, TF Earthspark. starscream and bee get trapped, and bee is grievously injured. soupy has a lot of incredible starbee fics, including two different series, but this one is my favorite of theirs :D what can i say? im a sucker for angst, especially of the 'theyre trapped and injured and time is running out' variety. check out their other fics as well!!

compatibility issues by kathkin: miranoah, rotb. mirage and noah are not sexually compatible but dammit do they try anyways. love this one, love how technical it got, and obviously yall know that i love when the robots have weird robot sex instead of basically human sex (sticky is fine and all, but nothing beats weird robot sex). love how determined noah is in this, just an all around great fic

to suit some miserable rhyme by Largishcat: damus/tarn, idw1. time travel bullshit leads to a some serious study of the self. this one might not be everyones cup of tea, but i was looking for empurata angst and was immediately intrigued by this fics premise. EXTREMELY not disappointed- this is a great character study of the same guy at 2 different points in time through porn. very very good

What's a Little Homewrecking Between Friends by equivocalEternity: bscdrw, idw1. a game of truth or dare reveals a couple of brainstorms kinks that cdrw are more than happy to indulge in. this ones just real fun, i love how their dynamics are written here. they all play off of each other really well, and brainstorms fantasies are so in character lol

Operation: Pit-Spawn (orphan account): soundstar, tfp. soundwave sees that starscreams mental health is rapidly deteriorating, and despite how much he wishes he could let him crumble, starscream is unfortunately still useful and so he tries to help. this one is sadly unfinished, but i just love the dynamic between the two of them here. its a very fun read, theyre both so stubborn and stupid and egotistical i just love it

Sweet, Sweet, Fantasy by thatwooshkai: jetfire/skybyte, cyberverse. skybyte wants to beat jetfire at the internet, so obviously, he starts writing what is totally not rpf of him and jetfire beating the shit out of each other (except oh god he cant stop writing now theyre kissing??). one of my absolute favorites to reread as of late. a truly underrated ship, this fic is so much fun, though it will almost definitely give you secondhand embarrassment. i need ten more of these

i love that noah has a matching mirage jacket now but after multiple rewatches, i just noticed that noah and mirage are just mirrors of how they first met each other

so in their first scene together, noah is seen wearing a colour block windbreaker while mirage is in his classic blue and silver striped paint

but in their last scene together, it seems that their colours have swapped. noah is wearing a blue and grey striped windbreaker while mirage is essentially a colour blocked car

kinda indicating that they have build such a strong connection together that they’re starting to reflect each other subconsciously, which is a sign of comfort and emotional intimacy when bringing it into the context of a romantic relationship
