While the thought is still in my brain. Apis’s gift concerning the crossing of the dead is one that happens when he is asleep. His body you can physically touch, but it is because of his direct power of will with his spirit. But you cannot harm him because he literally is asleep when he helps someone cross to the other side. You can see Apis, you can feel him, but you cannot hurt him because his body is not the one you are touching, it is mere will of his spirit. That being said, depending on the soul that crosses, it exhausts him. He is not always a sound sleeper when he crosses souls. He is a default of very tired when he wakes most of the time and it barely feels like he slept after helping a soul cross. He also is more tired than not. so basically what im saying is, sleep is a really rare thing for him, and it only happens if someone is no close to death by him. and it is extremely rare if he cannot see someones death date but that is a whole other matter entierly.
