A disappointing broadcast

So, Lord Huron didn’t win the American Music Association award. The prize for Best Americana/Folk Artist went to Noah Kahan.

But losing in the company of The Lumineers, Mumford & Sons and Tyler Chllders is in an honor in itself.

The disappointing part was the CBS broadcast. I have to say I felt suckered into monitoring (if not actually watching) the TV show. It was promoted, as far as I could tell, as an A-Z broadcast that would give at least a few second of air time to all the nominees.

Instead I saw a few awards, a lot of razzle-dazzle and a cubic ton of self-promotion. Then it abruptly ended without a glimpse of Mark and his mom on the red carpet, just in time for the evening news.
