I have had enough of Dr. Wilson and his newfangled teaching methods. When I was a kid, you sat in your desk and paid attention to the teacher whether you felt like it or not. Then, you did whatever work they assigned. There weren’t a dozen different options or learning styles.”
“AND WE ALL TURNED OUT FINE!”
would you like to write a separate fanfic about Dangus and Dave?
I already did! Police Navidad the holiday fic is from Dave and Dangus’s POV and centers around them.
There may be more in the future!
Currently, we’re messing around with the concept of Dr. Wilson and Miss. Smith swapping teaching positions to try and prove the other has an easier job. Alvin has dubbed it The Tale Of Two Teachers.
“Got sent to the principal’s office today for reading in class. Granted, what I was reading wasn’t exactly related to the classwork.”
“But, hey, you know, can I help it if the Pauli Exclusion Principle is more riveting than Catcher In The Rye or whatever it’s called? Now, I’m hungry for pastrami on rye bread.”
“But anyway, I was inactive for a bit because Dave made us all take a Tumblr detox week. We’re allowed to post again now.”
“Are there any topics in particular you’d like me to talk about?”

Quick redraw of a meme (not that one, another one that’s a reference to that one), but it’s Leonie/Zarenyia/Ms. Smith.
For Fem/February as well.
“Here’s how the parent teacher conferences went…I’m a bit surprised.”
“Theodore received a glowing review from each of his teachers. He’s been working hard and helping others. The other students in class love him as much as the teachers do. He’s behind in math, but Jeanette offered to tutor him. All in all, he’s doing wonderful. Mr. Dotson is looking forward to working with him on the school play.”
“Simon’s been keeping on top of his studies as well. His grades are the usual top marks, and with the addition of his study hall class, he’s had more time to relax. All the teachers say he seems more friendly and personable and less of a grouch. He also has excelled far beyond the requirements for his computer science class this year so far. That’s something he struggled with previously.”
“As for Alvin, his progress is a mixed bag. Miss. Smith says that he’s on top of EVERYTHING but he didn’t get on top of everything until October started. She says his behavior in September was incredible and almost TOO calm and quiet. Then, he flipped back to being “a nuisance.” Currently, she says he appears to be putting all his energy into doing the assignments and not enough into holding himself back from disrupting class. Coach Dopkins said that Alvin’s enthusiastic about gym class again, after barely caring the first month of the school year. Dr. Hayward says that he’s a pleasure to have in computer science class. And as always, Dr. Wilson is thrilled to have a student as attentive and passionate about the material as Alvin.”
“I guess this means he was right about the ADHD meds making it hard to enjoy things and making him too calm and focused. The fact that he’s suddenly ahead in so many of his classes immediately upon getting off the meds is very difficult to believe, but the progress report doesn’t lie. He’s never had an A in math before. Whatever he’s doing, I hope he keeps it up. (Though maybe he can still work on being less of a nuisance for Miss. Smith.)
“I’m taking them all out to the mall for a treat today. They’re such hardworking kids and they deserve this weekend to chill.”
