📸 Frida Kahlo, accompanying Diego Rivera while painting the mural "Nightmare of war, Dream of peace", Mexico, 1952. "Nightmare of war, Dream of peace" was a portable fresco and is now missing. On the right, Diego paints Frida handing out Stockholm peace petitions, which called for an absolute ban on nuclear weapons.
- Update - Happy to say this quilt has been found! After being missing for two months, Miyuki Humphries beautiful quilt was found and delivered to Cherrywood Fabrics. Somehow it got mixed up with a Fed Ex shipment (it was sent UPS originally) and was sent to several places in the South before making it safely to Minnesota. This quilt will be on display at AQS Virginia Beach in October!
Missing Quilt Alert!
This beautiful quilt was made by Miyuki Humphries of Tokyo, Japan for the Cherrywood Prince Challenge. It was accepted for the traveling exhibit soon to debut, but was lost enroute to Minnesota.
It was last tracked by USPS in Chicago. It’s intended recipient is Cherrywood Fabrics in Baxter, Minnesota. Please spread the word and help this artist find her artwork!
