There's an indie horror game (currently in development) called Missing Dog.

It is set in a rural town in Western Australia, where dogs start going missing and return as monstrous creatures. So big trigger warning for animal death, animal harm and stuff.

You can check out the developer's channel here (https://m.youtube.com/@MissingDoggame) where she posts updates/sprites/animations about the game, and there's also a Discord server where you can ask questions and just hang out.

The images/theme may be disturbing to some, discretion advised

The gameplay will be story lead mixed with action boss fights, like a creepy Stardew Valley and Terraria mix.

There isn't an intended release day yet, the developer, Hiruni (she/her) said on May 22nd 2025 (on the Discord server) that "It is too early to tell, but hopefully when there is more progress made i will be able to give an estimate, but that won’t be for a while. Most likely quite a few years"

It is confirmed that there will be multiple endings. One route you will be able to build a rescue with the help of the townspeople, and look after some dogs. The other routes can range between mercy and extermination… I'm really interested how nuanced will it be, how hard to get the rescue building one, and if there will be other endings in the future. I love me some multiple ending games but I like it when it's not just one choice at the end of the game. I assume it will take multiple choices to get to the one or the other ending, and the different routes will seperate earlier.

GELIDA, Spain — Commuter rail service in Spain's northeastern Catalonia region was suspended Wednesday after a Barcelona commuter train crashed the night before, killing one person and injuring 37 others, authorities said.

The crash came two days after Spain’s worst railway disaster since 2013, which left many Spaniards in disbelief. The death toll rose to 43.

The commuter train on Tuesday night hit a retaining wall that fell onto the tracks near the Catalan town of Gelida, about 37 kilometers (23 miles) outside Barcelona, officials said.

SORRY FOR SLOW REPLIES TODAY, FOLKS! FOUND A LOST DOG!

Trying to reunite this lost old doggo with it's owners is hard; the RSPCA won't help, I live rurally and there aren't any locals missing a dog, they don't have a name tag on their collar, my local vet won't even see me to scan for a microchip because the dog isn't registered with them, and so the best I could manage was calling a local dog warden. They are sending someone out to pick the doggo up later.

UPDATE: The dog warden just picked her up. Thankfully she has a microchip! I'm relieved she will be okay 💙
