What I’m most excited about with the Mistborn movies is when we get to that one scene and all the Book Readers in the audience start Screeching and everyone else in the theater is like “Why are they freaking out about some beggar with no lines?”

Dear God if you're listening please make Elend Venture a biracial Black man in the Mistborn adaptation thank you
Something that they absolutely need to have in any Mistborn adaptation is the scene from The Well of Ascension where Vin and Zane kill all of Cett’s soldiers without breaking a sweat, because it was a fucking awesome teenage girl power fantasy, and if that scene is omitted from an adaptation then what even is the point. that scene proved that vin is an undefeatable one person army and it was the coolest thing brandon sanderson has ever written. and you can quote me on that.
(it was also cool for like. character and plot reasons. but let's not underestimate the sheer joy thirteen year old me felt at reading about a small teenage girl going up against bigger stronger men and winning because she had badass superpowers and they did not. sucks to be them but vin and i had a great time.)
I remember hearing that Brandon said he was going to gender bend some of the Mistborn era one characters, so the movies have a more even ratio of men to women, and to be honest, I think female Marsh could be cool.
They wouldn't really have to change her name because most people don't see "Marsh" as a gendered word.
The reveal that she became an inquisitor would be even more surprising since most inquisitors are men.
It would enhance the parallels between Kelsier & Marsh and Vin & Reen, especially that "Marsh never beat me".
The line at the end of Final Empire, "I rule your church now".
If we get to Era 2 she has even more badass moments, like intimidating Entrone (and it plays up whatever Wayne has going on with his gender, when Wayne impersonates Marsh before that).
Man, this got me wishing Marsh was a woman in the books. This could be so cool.
and if there is no kelsier edit with that one slowed + reverb version of "i will survive" song in the first 24 hours of mistborn the movie release, i'll see you all in court.
idk why but project hail mary was such an amazingly peak movie that it made even more excited for the mistborn movies/cosmere adaptions. like a movie adaption CAN be done really really well. it’s possible. i feel like there’s a lot of (very understandable) trepidation in the fandom about the movie being bad but guys. brandon sanderson is super involved. apple tv has a super good track record. this COULD be so peak. LIKE GET EXCITED. IM EXCITED!!!
I know everyone wants to know who Vin, Elend, Sazed, Kaladin, Shallan, Dalinar, Adolin, HOID are going to be played by.
But I need to know who is going to be playing my favourite Investiture nerd who looks homeless Zahel when we get to Words of Radiance. And who is gointo voice Nightblood omg this is so important!
canon-complient mistborn adaptataion where everyone are talking in a HEAVY french accent.
the lord ruler speaks british english.
