I'm really confused as to why this is a criteria for him specifically, aside from obvious sales reasons, but I guess at least one character's fancasts have a chance at being right! "Vin will be aged up to around 18–19 years old, reducing the age gap between her and Elend." - THANK GOD!!! I love Vinlend but I always feel like I'm ignoring an elephant in the room lol.

Sadeas and Elhokar are not foils in the slightest but instead a mysterious new thing where you can use Sadeas to win multiple Elhokar stan moashcourse arguments. “It was bad for Moash to assassinate Elhokar!” and yet Adolin assassinating Sadeas for the exact same reason Moash assassinated Elhokar and in the exact same manner that Moash assassinated Elhokar is universally (rightfully even!) seen as Good and Based. “Elhokar was only nineteen during the Roshone Affair, he was just a kid, he can’t be held responsible for that!” Sadeas is sixteen in ob 3 and he does All That. Are you gonna be morally consistent and say Sadeas doing All That is fine in-universe because he was a kid (something you shouldn’t seriously do btw!). And so on

Comic tiiiiime!!! The amazing @2shards donated an incredible generous amount for an art in the @fandomtrumpshate auction this year. So I offered to draw a small scene of their choice and that was Moash catching a whip with his bare hand in Oathbringer chapter 48. Very heroic! Very cool. I redrew that stupid punch so many times. But I am so happy that it all worked out, since I managed to hand 2shards a printed (and by happenstance bound) and signed copy of this at MCM in London! I hope (and am sure) we will see many more cool fanworks popping up over the year from the FTH auction, so keep your eyes peeled and perhaps consider joining next year ;) The beautiful alt-texts are written by @2shards with small additions and changes by me. :)

while i definitely want a good cast for main characters in a stormlight adaptation, i'm most worried about an actor portraying taravangian. he is such a complex and polar character. he really needs an exceptional actor to play him.

i like to imagine that before shallan and adolin met hesina and lirin, they thought kaladin was on the team™ with family issues. like. he is so traumatized and broken; of course he also has shitty parent(s)! just like them! until kaladin started lore-dropping bombs like "mom kept all of the drawings i made as a kid" or "father once stayed up all night to hold me because i was having nightmares" and they figured out that kaladin, in fact, NEVER was on the team. he is traumatized by numerous things, but cruel parents are not among them.

Wait, was I seriously supposed to remember that Drehy is involved with some random guy named "Dru"? My brain 100% encoded that information, whenever it had been given, as "Drehy and Skar are married."

For idk how long now I've been getting legitimately up in arms whenever there's a part where they're not assigned to the same post/mission together. Like WHOMST separated the husbands? And then cheering whenever they show up in the same place together bc like... I THOUGHT THEY WERE HUSBANDS. When they rescued and returned Gavinor to Uruthiru, that made perfect sense. Who better to care for him than the married couple? "Ah, their adopted son arc; of course."

This was NOT a headcanon; I thought this was legitimate actual canon. I thought the books had them marry a while ago. You know? Revealed whenever it was that Sigzil was talking about forms and it was revealed Drehy was gay. So... Idk how to slot Dru into my worldview now. He doesn't fit.
