headcannons

so me and @chiiwaaa like to obsess over fictional characters and have come up with a bunch of Demon Slayer headcannons about how they paint their nails

this is not modern au btw, its just imagining they have the stuff to do this

also this is where anybody who's canonically dead is alive because i'm happy living in denial :)

-giyu kinda starts it. he had always painted his nails when he was with sabito, and then he recently started back up

-he paints them black of course

-mitsuri finds him painting his nails one day, and, try as he might, he can't cover it up

-she convinces him to paint hers too, since he's actually better at it then the girls

-shinobu finds giyu painting mitsuri's nails while she's on a walk with kanoa and nezuko (it's nighttime don't worry) and insists he paint theirs too

-shinobu's are based on her sister's butterfly clips, and kanoa just copies her

-nezuko shows tanjiro her new nails, which are done in the style and colours of her kimono, and next time they chipped, she drags tanjiro there with her

-tanjiro does his in honour of his family, all on his right hand because they are guiding him (and because i'm a sap for symobolism)

-muichiro finds them all on spa day (which has been recently declared as a TOTAL THING) and asks what they're doing. pretty soon he just gets dragged into it, too

-he doesn't care what they do to his nails, he just thinks it feels nice

-mitsuri and shinobu and up doing muichiro's nails a black-to-blue ombre effect because they actually really love his hair

-zenitsu finds them one time, and decides he wants in because he wants to be close to all the wOmEn

-he ends up with some pretty cool lightning nails

-inosuke wants in, but he doesn't like sitting still for that long so he only has like 3 nails done at most and it's an assortment of colours

-the rest of the hashira get involved, all doing tributes to their families or their breathing techniques, but rengoku's end up being the second most bedazzled (next to uzui, of course)

-his nails were literally shaped into flames. no they are not decals. no they are not stick on's. they are his actual nails.

-uzui's have a LOT of gems and stuff. i don't know how they all fit on there and he's still able to use a sword but he manages

-sanemi doesn't do much. he used to paint his nail with his brother, but then he stopped. he only does a clear coat for comfort. :)

@chiiwaaa will reblog w/ their addition, and any i might have missed... anyways yeah

Mistsuri looked at Atlas. “So you are grandpa’s boyfriend? I’m Mistsuri! His granddaughter! Nice to meet you!” Mistsuri said with a smile as her tail wagged.

Atlas raised a brow as he looked at the girl, his tail flicking curiously, “Shinjuro? I suppose so,” he mused, rubbing his chin in thought before smiling. “Mistsuri, it’s nice to meet you too, though I didn’t know he had a granddaughter,” he said softly, kneeling down slightly to get on her level, “How are you today?”
