The idea of Mizuki being jealous of Hound and irukas friendship is such a big headcannon to me, jst imagine being iruka u havnt had anyone ur whole life but ur best friend, then after u finally get close to some one ur best friend is saying shit like "i have a bad feeling abt him" or "hes off Iruka I feel like hes jst gonna leave u" just to make iruka pull away from Hound and everyone else around him.
Ppl like kotetsu, izumo and anko stayed away from iruka after a while bc there was a rumor that he just kept friends go for no reason when acc it was bc a snake was whispering in his ear manipulating him to believing that he was the only one who gave iruka happiness.
Just to leave iruka hopeless and have no one once he left the village. Which is why when iruka meets kakashi again on the bench for the first time kakashis so gentle with him and wants to hear his troubles.
