look im not ride or die for stephen spielberg or any of the actors in the film, but it's very disheartening when a movie about the pitfalls of the nuclear family gets boiled down to being about how the man of the house was wronged the most, i think we lost the plot. you're telling me that you feel no sympathy for a woman who was tossed aside to suffer with her own trauma and mental illness, emotionally neglected by her husband, all because she fell in love with someone else? sometimes love fades away without a warning, and if we take her word at face value, she never even cheated. and listen, i don't really care all that much for mitzi, but i don't see a reality where she's not a victim. she's not an evil bitch of a woman. she's not a manipulator. stop making women the scapegoats when a marriage fails
