Pokemon Card of the Day #3052: Mixed Herbs (Lost Thunder)
Mixed Herbs was one of those Item cards where you could play 2 at once. If you just played 1, you just removed a Special Condition from your Active Pokemon. Playing 2 also did this, but also healed 90 damage from that Pokemon. Most decks wouldn't dedicate the space for this, but exceptions did exist. If your goal was to tank hits with a big Tag Team without a lot of back-up, generally while also attacking to still win by taking Prizes, there was a good chance that you could find room for a lot of healing. Mixed Herbs was one of the nicer options for that. It was mostly seen in Reshiram & Charizard-GX decks, but you could do this strategy with Lucario & Melmetal-GX, Gardevoir & Sylveon-GX, or even Celebi & Venusaur-GX with at least decent effect. The Reshiram & Charizard version did very well at Worlds 2019, so Mixed Herbs had a very notable role in the game even if only specific decks would want it.
