Sisterhood Is Power

Wanted to have a more casual drawing of MK Ashrah, so... that's it. Still exploring some aspects of her appearance, most notably here the horns that are quite different from the other way I had drawn them in a previous work (I do want to make them different from my Ashrah since their demonic races are different despite the similar purple skin tone). Her face looks somewhat different from drawing to drawing, too, but that's on me for being ridiculously awful at drawing faces 🤷🏽‍♀️ My real-life inspiration continues to be Bai Lu, though.

When does this take place? During some miraculous stretch of quiet time after Nitara's proclamation of the Vaeternian Empire, which itself happens sometime after They Are All Gone Into the World of Light and before Sareena earns her army and the three of them set forth to battle again. Not that I'm likely to write the sequel(s) to that one-shot, but it's cool to imagine the lore!

Now we have the Outcasts.

Ashrah of the Sisterhood of Shadows (you'll see why next time.) Reptile, Shang Tsung's assistant and Baraka, a warrior of Outworld now afflicted with Tarkat. Neither full on villain or hero. Instead, they have their own agendas to fulfill that some will consider admirable or leaving you wondering if that's the best way to go about it.

I wanted to do little touch ups here and there and not a total copy when doing the fanart as I do like little redesigns here and there!

I really love Reptile's design in MK1. Wanted to see if they just added a weird factor in his vibe to juxtapose his appearance.
