Smoke route, "Fall for me?":

You were calm and happy, it was a fairly normal day without complications, you were on your way back to deliver something, when you saw Tomas training. He looked so perfect and dreamy, his muscles glistening with sweat…

He sensed you and you were so fixed on him that you didn't see the rocks above you before you tripped and fell on the floor. The monochrome Lin Kuei approached you while laughing.

—So, you fell for me, do you need some help standing up, Y/n? —

You roll your eyes, take his hand and hug him in spite of you being ashamed of yourself for your own clumsiness.

— You love making fun of me, don't you? — you retorted, trying to salvage the awkward moment…

— I could hug you forever, princezna…—

You felt the rush of excitement go to your cheeks, the reddish tint covering your face. Tomas was about to take off his mask until someone interrupted you two.

— Hm– hmmm …— Bi-Han, the older cryomancer in the group, cleared his throat. — Stop fooling around with your woman Smoke! Get back on the training. —

— Yeah, Yeah… — Tomas replied lazily, and placed his forehead on yours — Don't mind Sub-Zero, he’s in a bad mood because he’s jealous. See you in my room. —

You two parted and you giggled a little about how nonchalant your boyfriend was. He was incredibly cheeky and flirty, but had his tender times…

Mortal Kombat Headkanon | Lin Kuei and Hugs.

"How would they hug their s/o?"

Kuai Liang/Tundra: He gives the longest, most heart warming hugs (ironically). It will feel as if there was nothing that could ever separate you both.

When he holds you in his arms, he feels invincible, you don't know how powerful it makes him feel to have you in his life.

If you look at him with love and adoration, he will give you a kiss on the forehead while embracing you. You look so lovely, he never wants to let go…

Cyrax: He would hug you very, very tightly, then lift you, and spin you around. He’s just so happy to see you! Right? It doesn't matter if he saw you five minutes ago, if he went on a mission, or had just come from training. He will always be very intense when displaying affection and showing love to you, his one and only.

Smoke: His hugs are very manly, he would pat your back. But not because he sees you as “One of the boyz (™)” lol! (Or well, not the only reason, if you're into that kind of thing), it’s because patting is fun for him, actually.

With time though, he will warm up to you, and he will want to linger in that position, holding you in what feels like forever…will gradually get more and more intense as the time goes on.

Sektor: NGL, his hug game is kinda lackluster and low, to be brutally honest with you. At first he doesn't “hug” you per se. It's more like he “holds you in place” with his hands on your arms. He gets better the more you know each other, but he is very distant and hesitant at first.

Bi-Han/Sub-Zero: You go and hug him with all your love and might, but he…doesn’t hug back? He’s so shocked that he lifts his arms, but it feels like he cannot, for the life of him, reciprocate.

Please have patience and be kind to him! He’ll eventually warm up to you! (Yes, pun was very intended, lol.). I promise he will give you the most tender hugs (He will also squeeze you a little on occasion), it's just he is not used to it (yet, the keyword is “yet”.)

Hydro: He will hug you as if he was protecting you from some unknown danger (Very firmly, he will never want to let go of you.) He takes your safety very seriously, and has made it very clear that he would die for you (Yeah, he’s a drama queen to be honest). Not exactly a cryomancer, so he has no chill (yes, pun intended. (?))

Since Mortal Kombat 1 did a terrible job portraying the Lin Kuei in the story, I decided to make my own fanon version of my favorite characters.

— Real name: Seamus Calder

— An egomaniac, eccentric genius

— One of the only two members of the clan with no magical abilities, so he compensates for it with technology

— After Bi-Han’s “death,” he became increasingly paranoid, which ultimately led him to begin the Cyber Initiative

who would you say is the most obscure character/obscure lore fact you’ve incorporated into your aus? ( @defendersoftherealms )

Heeeeeeey there, Anon!!✨️Oooh, great question!

I've brought Hsu Hao, Moloch and Drahmin, and Hydro into some of my fics before, but I admit I wasn't the most flattering to them😅 (I do plan to make it right to Hydro, but he'll have to wait cause I'm a really slow writer)

Remember MK Legacy? They introduced Hydro as one of the first Lin Kuei to go Cyber, I used that lore in one of my fics, "What The Winter Winds May Bring" but Hydro was a villain there (I did say I wasn't flattering) I plan to bring a Hydro 2.0 into this fic and also into my Scorpion!Harumi AU and in those versions he'll have a better treatment that will include his classic friendship with Bi-Han!🌊❄️

(But again, he'll have to wait, lol!😅)

But my moots don't call me The Harumi Girl™ for nothing! Obscure female characters like Harumi Shirai herself are my actual jam! I just love to bring an underrated gal into the spotlight!

And if you want a REAL obscure gal, then let me tell you about Lisa Liang!

Lisa is "people thought she was an OC when I first introduced her." Levels of obscure, which is probably the highest level of obscure, lol!😅

But what can I say? The girl's entire character in the MK Conquest TV show was "Sub-Zero's sister." ¯\_(ಠ_ಠ)_/¯

There's a world of possibilities you can explore with a title like that, and I extrapolated it to the max and changed her head to toe inside and out!

I also gave her a main lead role in my Scorpion!Harumi AU cause that's how things are done in this household!

But not all gals get the main girl treatment. Some get a more rough treatment!

The unfortunate gal in question is none other than: Peron!

Now that's an obscure character worthy of respect! Cause sure you may have heard of Sub-Zero's sister, but her you ever heard word of the woman who killed Sub-Zero's sister??

In MK Conquest, Peron is Scorpion's partner (no, this Scorpion has no correlation with Hanzo whatsoever. He was an evil emperor named Scorpio who possessed a royal guard named Takeda (no correlation with any Takeda we know either)) Together, they attacked Sub-Zero's family and Lisa was stabbed in the back by Peron.

Now, I feel like I'll be cheating a bit cause I teased Peron once or twice, but I never really got to properly write down the ideas I have for her in a post, so I don't know if it counts?? Oh well🫣

Anyways, in the Scorpion!Harumi AU:

Her presence will be more symbolic. She'll be one of the assassins sent to kill Lisa, the new Sub-Zero, to prevent the Cryomancer from rebuilding the Lin Kuei as a force of good!

In Umgadi Girls AU, however:

Peron will be completely redesigned as a Dragonborn Pyromancer and a general at the service of Queen Zhi and her daughter, Lisa!

The thing is, Peron is actually conspiring against the Royal family and trying to manipulate Lisa into starting a war against Edenia!

I'll be incorporating the "Peron stabbed Lisa in the back" as a metaphor to her treason rather than make it literal!

Needless say, Peron will fail to harm Lisa in both AUs and get the beat up she deserves for fridging an innocent girl just to add fuel to some dudes' beef!😤

Soooooo in the longest answer ever, I'd say it's Peron! Or Lisa, if you think Peron was cheating 😅

Lol, maybe Hsu Hao is more deserving of that title? Moloch and Drahmin, perhaps? Hydro??
