i like to think Marinette is really skilled at cake decorating. it's a different artistic medium but one she picks up quickly and finds very relaxing. she LOVES piping intricate designs and making realistic gumpaste flowers. it's calming to her. whenever she's stressed, Tom will ask her for her help with decorating a cake, and it instantly chills her out. she gets into the Zone.

the first time she makes Adrien a cake, he is mesmerized by the amount of detail. perfectly piped rosettes and lettering, wishing him a happy half-birthday or something of those sorts. he almost doesn't want to eat it because of how pretty it is, but they enjoy a slice together. he loves how artistic she is, and the cake tastes good too! after dating her for a few months and spending time at the bakery, he begins to become familiar with her piping style, and loves watching her make perfect droplines or buttercream roses. he thinks it's especially cute how her tongue pokes out of her mouth when she focuses. she's always showing him something new she's learned. he's aware she's amazing (his own words), yet she still always manages to surprise him.

later, when ladybug shows up to patrol with a cake to celebrate their defeat of a particularly difficult akuma, chat noir recognizes Marinette’s handwriting in the piped message on the top of the cake, and his chest warms with affection knowing ladybug purchased this cake from his girlfriend's parents' bakery.

"It's a beautiful cake," he would say, thinking of Marinette poking her tongue out as she piped the buttercream border. his love for her surely spills out in the softness of his voice, but he can't help himself. he adores Marinette!

Ladybug would be all bright smiles, beaming with pride. "Thank you," she'd respond. "I decorated it myself!"

Since we unfortunately didn't get to see them in action, what's your headcanon about how Heartfixer's powers would work?

She would make people forget the things that hurt them. That would suit Marinette's headspace. It SOUNDS like a power for good, but if we only forget that the hurt happened we can't learn from it, and it doesn't undo the fact that the events still *happened*. You just forget about it.

So imagine she uses it on Adrien and he forgets about the fake cheating incident... but he also forgets his parents are dead(among other things) and everything his father did to him.

You get the idea.

Married Adrinette headcanon:

Marinette hoards everything just in case she can think of a use for it later. A button she bought when she was fifteen for a dress that she ended up making differently? Gotta keep that, you never know. Not just sewing supplies either, she also has VGA cables, notebooks, Roland’s old Minitel and so on. Adrien gently tries to convince her to let go of some things but it rarely takes (much less lasts). Clutter is as magically attracted to Marinette as he is.

On the other hand he jealously guards every single thing she ever gave him, from birthday gifts all the way down to random pieces of scrap she gave awkwardly handed him. She will point out that something is literal garbage that she only gave to him by accident, but for him it’s a priceless token from his lady.

Marinette is the tumblr girl who read Adrien Agreste x reader before actually dating him (and constantly compares those posts with reality now)

i want one of two things to happen to the agreste mansion once adrien is old enough to decide what to do with it:

-he tears down the original mansion and builds a much more modest house on the land with plenty of yard space for his kids to play. instead of having prison-like gates that are always closed, they throw parties for friends and family all the time. there’s a giant greenhouse garden, a treehouse, the vibe is overall very home-y and gabriel gets to roll in his grave over the fact that adrien married ladybug of all people, put an end to the agreste last name, tore his mansion to the ground, and now raises adopted children and hosts charity events that aren’t just thinly disguised political favors right on top of his final resting place.

-he donates it to the city under the condition that the land must become a public park. he sponsors another ladybug and chat noir statue to stand right where the entrance to the house used to be

One trope I would love to see more of and makes the most sense is Ladybug being the one with an atlas complex because considering how much Marinette is willing to sacrifice everything in her life in favor of being Ladybug/Guardian.

Chat Noir being the one who’s willing to sacrifice the world for Ladybug. Think about it, he’s always making sure to be the best partner to Ladybug and he would never want to risk her life in battle, ever.

Basically this:

“I will sacrifice myself to save the world” & “I will sacrifice the world to save you.”
