Not enough fanfic authors play with what happened in Passion(S5) Laybug realizing 'oh wait Cat Noir is kind of hot and sweet and oh no!' and then trying to flirt.

Only...

She told Cat Noir there would be no romance, that she did not want it! Cat Noir is a good kitty and has learned his lesson! He thinks of her as his platonic partner and nothing more! He respects her as a person and realizes she's just testing him. He will be the best of partners!

And she's just... stuck stewing and committing ever more desperate acts to try and show that 'No Really I really am flirting and interested. Disregard all previous commands and listen to me now!' The more respectful he is, the hotter he is and she's dying inside.

Let Ladybug explode as effectively as Marinette. Let her pratfall in fun romcom ways. Let her goose be cooked in the pudding she made. This guy isn't oblivious. He's keenly aware! He's just being the best gentleman he can be... and it's killing her!

Feud of the Miracle Boxes

What if the mage who made the Miraculous also crafted the two Miracle Boxes? What if he passed down the boxes to his students/children and it ignited a feud? What if Lila and Marinette are the latest additions to that feud?

Basically, after creating the Miraculous and Miracle Boxes, the mage gave them to his children/students to protect. However, the mage chose to give the Miracle Box with the two most important Miraculous (Ladybug and Black Cat) to the more responsible one, worried what the other might do with that power.

This decision and clear favoritism anger the inheritor of the other box. Driven by envy and a lust for the power that comes with the two Miraculous, the second inheritor used their Miracle Box to try to steal the Chinese one. However, the first inheritor prevents this and escapes, causing the second heir and their allies to begin hunting them.

This hunt has lasted for generations. The second heir's successors do their best to accomplish the person's goal. Eventually, this leads to a battle between the two newest inheritors, Marinette and Lila.

Lila moves to Paris early and manages to sense Marinette's Miracle Box in Paris. This causes her to break into her Miracle Box for a Miraculous to cause a commotion that will force Marinette into action (possibly unknowingly). Maybe her predecessors managed to gain the Butterfly Miraculous and she either uses it or has someone use it for her. Or she could have a completely different Miraculous.

Maybe Lila uses people like Chloe and Gabriel as pawns to do her dirty work for her. Meanwhile, Marinette might not have found out about her new destiny until Lila makes a move, causing her to have to adapt quickly to her new job.

To add something else. Maybe both Marinette and Lila have the natural ability to use magic. So, they can use powers other than the Miraculous to fight.

The real reason Luka went to Brazil is not Marinette. We know way back in S4(wishmaker) he had come to terms with his feelings.

It's not he identities knowledge. Those are right out the window anymore. He's even trained in Mira Kung Fu now to resist the akumas.

It's Chloé.

They ran into each other one evening between seasons. He had come back after Monarch's fall. So had she. Nobody knew. Their encounter was unexpected in many, many ways. Luka's not stupid, he knows who she is. He knows exactly how his intoxication with her would hurt everyone. He doesn't know for certain she won't come back to Paris (and even London is close enough to tempt) and so he went halfway around the world to avoid what the irrational heart craves.

With all the talk of sending characters back in time, at least mentally, that did make me wonder something.

Imagine if Chloe, maybe a few days after the episode 'Ladybug', was sent forward to Season 6. The Chloe that still tried to be good, the Chloe that still believed in Ladybug, the Chloe that did not get cornered on a roof by a magical terrorist.

Her getting to experience consequences of actions she hadn't yet made and wondering how she got her (figurative and literal).

Imagine Queen of the Dreadzone where Marinette, Sabrina, and Zoe show up and Chloe just starts acting like she and Sabrina are friends again, because from her perspective they never stopped being friends. The confusion and upset from everyone thinking she's being a brat when genuinely she has no idea who Zoe is. Unpacking whatever it is that would happen from her finding out that Marinette and Adrien are actually dating, how she would have some mixed feelings cause she still cares about and is friends with Adrien while also thinking 'Really? Her?'.

Anything involving Lila and how she'd not even be a blip on Chloe's radar since that wasn't a thing until Penalteam.

Oh that sounds like a fun fanfic idea. Heck, you don't even need time travel. You have plenty of options from head trauma to memory loss from malnutrition(dieting under Audrey) or anything else. All that matters is that she's got S2 or even S3 memories in S6.

AU where Alya follows her hero Ladybug all throughout paris. She's convinced ladybug is secretly her best friend Marinette. One night, she's caught on the roof during a battle, she sees Ladybug detransform. And, it is Chloé.

Cue a week of Alya in stunned shock trying to reconcile the Chloé she knows with the hero of Paris.

Probably been done before, but I think it'd make for a fun fic.

That *would* be funny. An Alya PoV fic is always good. Having a fun mystery is also good. Trying to figure out how/why Chloé has a very real double life (vs Marinette who is the same person in different clothes) all seem like good hooks.

Bonus hook is- why does Chloé's hero form look like Marinette?

Miraculous Fighting Tournament AU where everyone that gets a Miraculous is forced to fight the rest of the wielders in order to be the one that will get to make a wish.

Actually had an idea for something like this, except it was a complete AU. Old West(US) AU. The Miraculous were all 'shooting irons' with unique powers theme'd on the canon ideas. Gabriel was a rich landowner who discovered the butterfly iron.

The tournament was a bound magical contract. Everyone had to swear in, and then it was last man standing with a broad (county level) range they could travel but not cross.

Whoever collected them all got the wish.

Much angst.

Another variation of the character goes back in time idea, a podt-Chlonette Marinette wakes up on the first day of classes. She tries to get things started sooner rather than waste time and put both herself and Chloe through unnecessary pain, but in the process she falls back into some bad habits, and Sabrina gets akumatized instead of Ivan because Marinette took her seat.

That's an interesting idea! Marinette A timeline where Chlonette happened returning to the past would be a great PoV. How did it happen? Does she remember the past? Is stuff recontextualized? Does her attempting to speed run end up jeopardizing it, or creating a new timeline entirely? Can this Marinette find a different path forward if it doesn't look like her and Chloé will connect this time? How does she deal with being mentally years older than her peers?

There is a lot you could dive into.
