You know when you were little and dreamed of like, having powers, dressing up and stuff like that? It sounded so nice, I wanted to talk to animals. But y’know what, it’s just not as fun when it happens for real. I almost got a giant water container to my head today, not cool guys. Some people really shouldn’t be allowed to have abilities. I don’t understand how chaos will help with anything?

During her lunch break, Dorothy made a swift leave out of the hospital, pausing only to make a discreet change out of her lab coat and business attire to further embody her Volt persona. She’d overheard robbery in progress nearby but ended up crossing paths with another superpowered person amidst the scuffle and her having lent a hand to the authorities. Returning just a couple of minutes past her break, she finished out her shift and decided to unwind at a local diner before heading home. 

Thanks to a bullet graze on her arm, she’d tried to bandage herself up earlier at the hospital but knew it was rather poorly done since she couldn’t get the tight pressure on her own. Still, despite her best efforts and the stinging ache at the wound, she hadn’t realized that it was steadily bleeding through her blouse as she sat in a booth with her bag, waiting for her order to arrive. Glancing at her phone to refresh her local news app, she let her injured arm rest while sipping on her drink, doing her best to maintain some calm in her face as best as possible.

Just watched some idiot try to rob a store with their power - animal communication. A flock of birds at his disposal until a mutiny happened and they turned on him.

Is it possible for pets to have superpowers? Because I swear my lazy dog has superspeed once I move from her typical nap spot on the couch, she just suddenly appears.

Riley hardly moved by car whenever she was supposed to meet people at night. Weirdly, she felt safer if she walked. In her vehicle, she was more of a target for unexpected attacks and had less room to defend herself if it came to it. Without a car, there was also less evidence of her whereabouts if she were to ever be caught on camera or anything. Her pace was fast and confident as she began to approach her destination, an empty alley behind a boutique that had been destroyed months ago. She tried to ignore the scenes she encountered on her way, namely a car setting on fire and the cries of help from a man whose store was being robbed. 

She stopped in her tracks when, not too far away from the alley, the sound of glass shattering disrupted the surroundings, as a group of people flew out of a window, clearly immerse in an intense fight. Riley stood still, letting the situation unfold and waiting for them to move or chase eachother down the street, but when another blast was heard and someone crashed on the pavement, next to her boots, she rolled her eyes, glancing down at them with a quirked eyebrow. “You’re in my way” she stated coldly, clearly unimpresed by whatever was going on.

Even these days, I find heroes in the most unexpected places.  I almost tragically died from a twisted ankle when a mysterious woman walked by and helped me up, somehow giving me the will to go on.

Hero profile 👻 Phase

Madison’s ability is Intangibility. She can pass through physical matter and ignore most physical effects in her way. She is able to ignore most attacks, physical dangers and gravity. Her codename is Phase.

👻 Applications:

Air Walking/Flight/Levitation

Attack Ignoring

Ignore most forms of energy (heat/cold, electricity, etc.) and physical objects, whether solid, liquid or gas.

Intangibility Extension: Can take other people or objects with her.

Physical Disruption: Damage tangible matter by phasing through it. When used on living creatures or body parts, it can be potentially fatal (she doesn’t use this after a really bad incident)

👻 Limitations:

Electricity can bridge the molecules in quantum phasing.

May need to hold their breath while inside solid objects.

Some materials/effects may be un-passable: May be affected by energy or mystical effects.

May only be able to phase certain parts of the body.

👻 Hero backstory:

Madison is part of Keystone. She knows the goverment hasn’t been perfect, but can’t understand why anyone would go as far as risking innocent lives and causing chaos to prove a point. Which is why she tries to use her gift to help as much as she can.

In terms of her powers she has a good understanding of her abilities, because as soon as she realized she had them she tried to see how far they went, practicing to get better. She’s not infallible though, especially under emotional stress.
