So for those who don't know, a day ago Zagstoreusa leaked a new doll on their Instagram story and that doll happened to be no other than Vesperia.

Ever since this leaked, a lot of people have mixed thoughts and feelings on it. Particularly those who either love or hate Chloe and the same towards Zoe. For starters, some are excited to see Vesperia as a doll because it makes sense. You got a new hero, you gotta make a new toy to sell it to the kids/fans and make the money somehow. On the other hand, those who adore Chloe as Queen Bee are upset and annoyed because, yeah people still love Chloe as Queen Bee and they do want her back. Especially since we already have a doll of her. Totally understandable.
What are my thoughts on this? I’m...a little in between.
For starters, I actually do like how the doll looks. I personally do love how the Miraculous dolls look because they really do resemble the show’s art style perfectly and I also love that articular look they give them. Especially on the girls. I think Cat Noir looks good too, but personally, not a big fan of the smile he has; but everything else looks good. To the person who designs these dolls, I really do think they studied the show’s style to resemble it perfectly, especially if they’re gonna structure it with plastic and other material to make them look accurate.
Also, if anything, this gives me a new idea for more future MLB dolls.
For example: I would personally love a Queen Bee and Vesperia 2-pack one day or hell, even a Chloe and Zoe 2-pack. Like if you like both heroes and want them both to co-exist, you can have one of each and maybe in certain ideas, you can have one be the other and vice versa.
On the contrary, I knew this was gonna happen.
Once they announced that new MLB dolls were gonna be released, right off the bat I went (snaps fingers) “Vesperia’s gonna be made, don’t even start with me.”
And I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who thought this.
Furthermore, a lot of people also are arguing that other characters should’ve been made first and to be totally fair, I agree. Wouldn’t it make more sense to release the other heroes that came before Vesperia? I get that the bee miraculous is one of the five main miraculouses, but we had other heroes that were release before. Viperion, Ryuko, hell it’s been almost 7 years, and still
NO CARAPACE DOLL?! THE FUCK?!
It’s also really frustrating because for a character that was build up to be the new bee hero and how everyone on the ML team went “We’re getting a new Queen Bee!” Zoe really had wasted potential.
Like, let’s take a look at all the episodes where she appeared in so far:
Sole Crusher: Introduced as Chloe’s half sister; is pressured to be mean; is akumatized; saved by Ladybug; apologizes for actions; everyone but Chloe loves her.
Queen Banana: Actor in a school movie project; sister is akumatized; Ladybug chooses her to be new bee hero; Chloe is rightfully pissed off; everyone praises her as the new and improved Vesperia!
Gabriel Agreste: Only there to be one of Marinette’s 20 wing men to get her together with Adrien; Vesperia cameo but her picture is cut in half on screen. Not from Chloe surprisingly.
Mega Leech: Only there at the last minute as the “20% cooler and so awesome” Vesperia!
Crocoduel: Pointless cameo!
Optigami: Pointless cameo!
Penalteam: Will appear, but either watch her be another pointless cameo, only appear at last minute, or both where she will tell Chloe off for being a Nasty McMeanie because Thomas said so.
Ephermeral: Pointless ca-oh wait, no, she’s once more “THE SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS AMAZING VESPERIA!” for only like one goddamn scene.
Kuro Neko: Once again, another pointless cameo, but also to be the “BEST BEE HERO! SO MUCH BETTER THAN QUEEN BEE!” uwu
Wow, so nine episodes (technically 8) out of 26 and you couldn’t once think about giving her character? That’s smooth, Thomas Astruc and Friends. Real smooth. 🙄 👌
Yet again, the fuck am I saying? Unless you’re Ladybug or Cat Noir, you have wasted potential. Period.
And look, I’m sorry if I’m being immature as fuck right now, but that’s my main problem with Zoe. She has no character development, she has wasted potential, nothing, besides her being the new bee holder and Chloe’s half sister, stands out as a character, and it’s just frustrating to watch.
Granted, I still want her to improve and hopefully be her own character. Hell, I’m still hoping for a Chloe and Zoe friendship soon as possible, but if not, at least there’s AUs and fanfics for that.
