What really frustrates me about the reductionist gloss of lgbtq hockey fans’ very real hurt and anger in the past 24 hours as ‘cancel culture’ is this strange implication that seems to go along with it that there’s something fun or gleeful or energizing about one of the most wearisome aspects of living life as a marginalized individual
There is nothing more exhausting than the moment where, once again, another person you thought was trustworthy breaks that trust, the moment where you realize that once again you have to reevaluate your entire criteria for trust, that you have to redraw your boundaries because once again, you thought you were safe when you weren’t
I’m a queer hockey fan. A lot of my mutuals are as well. I didn’t see a single person within the community be anything but devastated when it looked like Morgan had said it, and absolutely elated with relief when his name was cleared. The way that Kyle Dubas, Mo himself, and the Leafs organization as a whole handled the allegations at the press conference was all class and I applaud them for it
But the people whose priorities lay with making sure that every single person who believed the evidence presented apologized to Mo rather than asking a traumatized community what needed to be done to begin to heal?
They can choke.

MLSE and CEO Kieth Pelley reportedly brought AI to the trade deadline and the Leafs are paying for it.

A bombshell Athletic report reveals MLSE CEO Keith Pelley brought AI-generated trade scenarios to the Leafs' deadline war room.
Does the Rogers news worry you for the Leafs?
leafs not really tbh. with the raptors I fear for masai and I fear we will not be competing again any time soon, but that's not the end of the world. however with tfc and especially the argos I am immensely worried. everyone start hitting up as many games as you can. let's all become massive argos fans together. the team colours are pretty and the games are way cheaper than leafs games.
