random thought but i've kinda been digging the idea of benrey being a sentient form of a game corruption program. like what if the reason benrey is so strange and can seemingly do anything is because he can just corrupted the game and fuck with the code. i mean boss battle benrey is literally what some vinesauce corruption streams look like. i don't know that much about how game corrupting works but i like the idea that maybe black mesa scientists literally made a program thats just supposed to push the limits of the simulation/game.

Reading the In Trousers libretto honestly makes everything so much clearer. It's clearly indicated which songs are set in the past or the present, and which ones are abstractions and don't represent actual things that happened. And thinking of the songs in the intended order instead of the original cast recording's, adding the extra songs that were integrated in later versions of the musical, it loses a good bit of that "just vibes" energy that I've always associated with it. It still has all the ambiguous and strange lyrics but I feel like the purpose of each song is much clearer.

Love how I just got some new nice smelling hygiene products I was excited for. So I come home from dropping off a friend, run a bubble bath and decide to make the saddest bath playlist ever. Did it make me sad and lonely? Yes. Did I enjoy my bubble bath? Also yes. Will I take another bath with the same heart wrenching playlist? Yes.
