Question for mobility aid users:
Hi. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but is there a way to know when you should start looking at getting a mobility aid? I've dealt with lower back pain for the better part of the past 4-5 years and my knee likes to just randomly start hurting (due to an injury from when I was 16 that I wasn't able to get proper care for 3 months). It's never bad enough to keep me from walking, but it definitely makes moving a lot harder and I feel like it's just getting worse over time.
I know nothing about the process of acquiring a mobility aid, nor do I know where to start looking for information or what questions to ask. I've honestly been thinking about this for a while though, but I don't know what does/doesn't "count" as a need for a mobility aid.
Again, I'm really sorry if this is a stupid question. Thank you for your time. ^^
EDIT: Thank you to everyone who offered advice on this post. I'm gonna be honest, expected maybe three people to see this total. I really appreciate the people who took time out of their day to respond to this. I just am not good at responding to people (memory issues + social anxiety collectively jumping my ass, yk?), but I have read through every reblog and comment on this post and I just really want to say thank you.
