*taps mic* the Jaya arc has an absolutely unparalelled monster cock energy and despite it being only a few chapters it’s one of the peaks of the entire series and deserves WAY more praise as it doesn’t only set up Teach, Banaro Island and the whole war arc, including Doflamingo, and is maybe the strongest reflection on the core ideology of One Piece (dreams and idealism vs cynicism), BUT it also stands SO HARD on it’s very own with the original trio’s bar scene with Luffy and Zoro not fighting back AND with (then) mystery pieman AND with Luffy going back to kick the everloving shit out of Bellamy in what is probably the absolutely most vicious punch in anime history. thank you you can carry on now.
