Also what about binary trans people who have fully transitioned and prefer to go stealth and not make their being trans known, are they no longer allowed to be trans either?

I lost sight of that in contending with the anon’s very no-transition point of view, but you’re absolutely right, the idea that passing as cis makes someone not trans will impact stealth transitioned folks too.

I think it all falls under this weird idea that if other people can’t see you being something, then you are not that thing. It’s in no way a reasonable standard, because we just aren’t going to get to know everyone we meet in that depth, and different people can read the exact same individual in very different ways

What’s your favourite Duke trait?

The kind of self confidence and flat out stubbornness it takes to hear that the Riddler will restore power to the city if anyone can ask him a riddle he cant figure out, and then think: yeah, I can do that. And then actually start trying to do it. Absolute legend.

Favourite Duke headcanon?

Nonbinary Duke Thomas is absolutely my jam, but I also headcanon that he and Tim are nerd buddies and marathon Star Wars together when one of them is injured and grounded.

Favourite Duke quote?

Oh God don’t make me choose, uh. I gotta say I love “Someone told me that the problem with youth is the inability to accept your own mortality. I wouldn't consider this one of my problems.” Because it’s snarky and witty and relatable and yeah.

If you were a meta, what would your power be?

i’d go for superspeed but like- Quicksilver kind of superspeed. Maybe it’s not as fast as the Flash, sure, but I absolutely under no circumstances ever want to deal with the Speedforce. 

What are you most excited for with this bang?

Well the obvious answer is the influx of new content but I do have to say I’m very excited to meet new people and hear their ideas and headcanons. It should be fun!

Honestly? i was first in love with the concept of duke. The first canon thing i consumed with him is robin war and i saw him sparring with Dick and was like ah yes this ones a keeper - mod angel

i first heard of duke through fan content, when i was just getting into dc back in february, and at first i was just :0 i have to know who that is!!! and i started with we are robin and only got more invested from there - Mod Clark

All mods- What are your thoughts on Duke possibly being linked to the Immortal Man/Infinite Woman and Vandal Savage's canon?

mixed thoughts! on one hand, it would be super cool if dc managed to pull it off in an exciting and interesting way that actually thoughtfully expands the duke lore instead of, like. using it as “wow look at how we upped the cool factor” without it having any meaning or narrative significance. but i’m cautious because i have very few dc writers i trust.

peacemaker-ic has some great ones, i use them all the time.
