So... trying to decide about my ask blogs. Something’s wrong with my tablet and I can’t seem to use it. I did get a new computer a little while ago that’s a touch screen but didn’t come with a pen, so I’d have to shop around for a compatible tablet pen, and they all seem pretty pricey just for a damn pen. Concerning my main blog, I’ve been kind of avoiding working on it since I seem to feel this pressure for the updates to be of better quality than they’ve been, I guess since I’ve intended to make it a somewhat of a more serious story driven project. I’ve been considering reviving this ancient blog I started a long time ago and lost interest in, about a canon background pony that caught my eye and I had a fascination with. I kinda miss it and might make it more of a less serious, silly generic slice of life ask blog, although I would probably draw updates traditionally till I get the tablet/pen thing figured out. I’m kinda hoping it will kick-start my motivation again and I’ll eventually return to the Equestrian Paranormal Society, although I guess I’d like some input from others.

Long ass rant about video game nonsense under cut >.>

I know this has come up a lot in the fandom and is apparently controversial, but after going through all of Shane’s heart events that were so endearing then for him to move in and completely revert back to his old self was really heart breaking??? I’ve seen a lot of arguments about this, and I completely understand that depression doesn’t just magically go away because of marriage. I honestly didn’t expect him to be totally cured just because you were nice to him and a few events, nor did I want him to be, I didn’t plan on marrying him just to “fix” him. But I didn’t expect him to be such an ASS to your farmer after marriage. He’s totally selfish, cold-hearted, immature, and disrespectful, barely wants anything to do with you, is always bored on the farm, is totally annoyed by your kids, and he gave up on raising chickens??? The thing I found most endearing about him was his love of chickens, it showed some hidden humanity and kindness in him, that he’s an animal lover, and after apparently failing at a lot of things in his life, it seemed like he found his calling. I was excited at the beginning of his 8 heart event with the chickens, but towards the end he mentions that he’s leaving them for Jas cause “he’s not staying there forever” and I was like oh... does he want to raise chickens on my farm or...? But he never even mentions anything about them while married, and just seems to have Charlie as a pet outside. I thought that if one thing would make him happy and put him in a good mood sometimes beside gridball would be caring for his chickens, but that factor’s not there. In the 8 heart event he even says the hens would keep him “upright”, like keeping himself busy with something he likes would keep him from going over the deep end again. What I’m wondering is this another case of “the spouse gives up their interests and loses personality cause they move in with you” which a lot of people complained about other marriage candidates, or is he does he really not care about anything? I already know some responses will be “BUT DEPRESSION!!!” “HEALING IS SLOW!!” “YOU’RE ABLEIST!!!!11!” I know what depression is like, believe me. But it just doesn’t seem like he genuinely wants to get better, and got stuck in a rut again and wants to mooch off you and have “no responsibilities” as he actually says. It’s been bothering me a lot and I keep debating about just divorcing him or not since it’s an option now, but it seems like the “mean” or “wrong” thing to do to someone in the game, and I’ve been avoiding playing that file (which is my oldest with the most progress) because of it. I’m getting too emotional about video games omfg

Good news: I got approved to be a part time caretaker for my nana, and I get paid weekly for it. I’m hoping to buy a new tablet after I catch up on bills, so is there any tablets ya’ll recommend?

Good news: My nana was well enough to be discharged from the hospital on Christmas eve, and got to be with us on Christmas after being in the hospital for over 2 months. 

Bad news: My sister’s 7 month old kitten that she had for under 2 months had a rare undetectable FIP virus and got so sick so fast they had to put him down on Christmas eve
