I've been feeling less like a female and I've never felt male before for over a month now, and I tried coming out to my mom but she yelled at me for it. My English teacher is accepting and is perfectly okay with it, but when she talked to my mom about it, my mom got very mad at her too. I am contemplating calling CPS because of this as well as an abusive father, but I need advice. Should I call them, or just force myself to be a cis female like my parents want me to? (I'm graygender)
Donāt ever force yourself to be something you are not. It rarely, if ever, ends well.
Your self expression is ALWAYS more important than someone elseās comfort. In this case, you being graygender and comfortable with yourself is far more important than them thinking itās wrong. You donāt have to conform to their rules, just because you live under their roof.
My only warning is that CPS can only do so much. And if they do intervene, you may either end up in a dozen different foster homes, or with a family member. And in that time, you never know what others may think and the situations you may be in.
So if youāre extremely young - under 12 Iād say - consider alternatives.
