Hmm I hope you don't mind me writing my dudes Trashmouse and Mei, and I'm gonna do they/them pronouns! Also angst is my favourite t h a n k y o u .
You and her had worked together for a while and became close friends. She had developed feelings for you and went, "oh no." Because she knows you and her are just friends.
She kept it suppressed to the best of her ability, but every time you looked at her she would get butterflies in her stomach and go all red and flustered.
She decided she couldn't take it anymore, and needed to tell you because it just felt like she was hiding a big thing from one of her closest friends.
She couldn't go up to you, so she decided to give you a note, but felt super childish. "I'm an adult. Why am I acting like a middle schooler?" But she hadn't felt that way about anyone in a while.
After many attempts, and staying up way later than she should have, she finally had it as good as it was going to get.
She gave it to you after a meeting at work, smiled, started sweating, stammering, and got out of there quickly.
You read the note and were kind of shocked.
You had only ever seen her as a friend, and you really didn't know how to tell her that. You texted her and asked if you could meet and talk somewhere private, she agreed and you met up.
You told her you only ever really saw her as a friend and she just looked away. She closed her eyes and started being very physical with her speech. Shrugging her shoulders saying stuff like, 'oh yeah, I figured you wouldn't really feel the way I do, but it's okay, just forget I said anything."
She was obviously hurt, you didn't know whether to give her a hug, or if that would make the matters worse for her.
It was super awkward and you stood there for a while with her before you finally had to leave.
When Mei got home she cried for a little bit, remembering she knew exactly what was going to happen.
But she's an optimist so she got over it pretty quickly and you two stayed very good friends.
You barely knew Junkrat, you'd seen him in some of the bars in Junkertown with blueprints on the table, guzzling down alchohol and working.
He couldn't sit still for very long so he'd often just shove the blueprints back in his bag and go pester some of the townsfolk at the bar with him.
He caught you looking at his blueprints one time and oh dear god he was hooked.
You know how moths get attracted to light? That's exactly what happened. It was insane. He's super open about the way he flirts, so he didn't even feel the need to be discreet about checking you out.
You tried to politely turn him down, but he wasn't having it.
"Come on darl', I'll show you some more of my blueprints if you'd like."
You finally agreed and came home with him, but you made it clear you were only there to look at blueprints.
You were fascinated, by his blueprints, and very impressed. You wouldn't expect someone so... him to be extremely smart.
You and him hung out some more, but only to talk about booze, money, and explosives.
He actually began to feel a less physical attraction to you than what he had at the beginning of your friendship. He told you immediately when he figured out he actually had a crush.
You said you didn't like him the way he liked you, but you could always be friends. He chuckled and said, "Well damn, I was plannin' on staying friends anyways. I know you don't like me like that, I'm not an idiot darl'." He shot you a smile and pulled you in for a one armed hug.
