Hi! If I'm half desi (Sri Lankan) can I still follow? Haven't seen anything on here for desi wlw yet.. So I'm so so happy this exists but?? Um??? Am I allowed to be here?? hi! i was wondering if, and excuse me if it is, desi an in-word? as in people who aren't shouldn't say it? i don't want to use it if i'm not allowed, since i'm not south asian in any way whatsoever

It’s not a slur but it also shouldn’t be used by non-south asians! It translates to ‘‘my countrymen’’ so not only is it inappropriate to use it if you’re not desi, it also doesn’t make sense.  

You can follow to show support if you’re non-white. Hope this helped! :)
